Kenneth Walker, Low-Key High End Fantasy Running Back

Kenneth Walker finished last season as the overall RB12 in fantasy points per game. In the spring, we wrote a series of articles dealing with Fantasy takeaways from the 2024 season. One of the major points we emphasized was whether you won a high-stakes fantasy championship or are a recreational player who won your home league, be proactive. The NFL calendar is year-round. Be the savvy fantasy players who are on top of past season results and analyze the data to use it to their advantage.

Best Ball drafts are in full swing on Drafters and Underdog sites.  It is a necessary grind to afford managers the best chance to build championship rosters for the 2025 fantasy season. There are schools of thought within the fantasy community that early drafting can be advantageous. Past Best Ball Mania winning rosters are sometimes found from those keen players who are ahead of the curve. Right now, no reports are coming out of mandatory OTAs to drive up player ADPs. In addition, training camp is still about two months away. Find out why Walker is a player we have been targeting early in 2025 best ball drafts that we feel could be a league winner.

Kenneth Walker’s Rushing Ability Was on Full Display in 2024

As discussed in our introduction, Kenneth Walker’s 16.5 PPR fantasy points per game were good for the 12th best in last year’s fantasy season. Walker flies a bit under the radar, but he is a legit RB1 as we enter the infancy stages of the 2025 fantasy football draft season. Last season, Walker’s year was hurt by the injury bug. However, as we dissect the data, we see that Walker was a higher-end producer at the running back position.

Walker’s ability as a pure runner was on full display last season. Among qualified running backs, he led all runners in missed tackles forced per rush attempt and top ten in yards after contact per attempt. In his 11 games played, Walker averaged 13.9 rush attempts per game. To put that in perspective, Jahynyr Gibbs, the overall RB1, was at 14.7, and De’Von Achane, the overall RB5, was at 11.9.

Walker is a Three-Down Running Back

Among qualified running backs in 2024, Walker was top three in first downs per route run, and top six in both targets per route run and receiving yards per game. Walker compiled 53 targets in his 11 games played. That still ranked him in the top 14 amongst running backs. He averaged just under 5 targets per game, which was better than the aforementioned Gibbs. To further our point, the top two running back target leaders last season, Alvin Kamara and Achane, averaged 6.3 and 5.1, respectively.

Walker is in good company, and his running back metrics and data points compare favorably among the fantasy community’s best in 2024. For those fantasy managers who like to start their fantasy drafts WR-WR or go the RB zero route, Walker is a nice option in the fourth round. If Walker can remain healthy, he can be a league winner and a great value with a current best ball ADP of 43.

Ravens-Bengals M&T Banksgiving Primetime Matchup

There is a lot to be thankful for. Football is returning, the 2025 NFL schedule has dropped, and the Cincinnati Bengals return to Baltimore to face the Ravens in primetime. The Thanksgiving slate has the AFC North rivalry kicking off at 8:20 p.m.

This will be the Bengals’ fourth matchup at M&T Bank Stadium since the 2022 season. While Ravens fans are ecstatic to see their contender-like squad face off at home, certain individuals feel the consecutive matchups in Baltimore are strung out.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow expressed his emotions on returning to Baltimore to play the Ravens in another primetime sequence. Burrow said he would like to play a primetime game against the Ravens on his home turf. 

“Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight primetime year isn’t ideal,” Burrow said, via ESPN. “Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati next year, please.”

High-Powered Offenses

The Ravens and Bengals have been notorious for their offensive firepower when matched up against each other. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, Baltimore has had the Bengals’ number for the past couple of years, especially when the lights have come on. 

The Bengals are 0-3 in their last three trips to Baltimore at night. In 2022, the Bengals fell to the Ravens on Sunday Night Football in a 19-17 nailbiter. The next two contests featured Thursday Night Football. The Ravens cruised past the Bengals in a 34-20 victory in 2023. The team that ended up with the football last decided last year’s back-and-forth classic.

The offensive surge from both teams had the game featuring nearly 70 points. The Ravens held the Bengals off by one in a 35-34 cinematic finisher. Later on in the season, Baltimore would travel to Cincinnati for another dramatic 41-38 victory. This game would skyrocket both quarterbacks’ odds to be the frontrunners in the NFL Most Valuable Player award race. 

Burrow’s request to change the use of primetime from Baltimore to Cincinnati may seem like a stretch. Especially regarding him and his team’s losing streak against the Ravens. However, the two teams have sat atop the AFC North for consecutive years. The Bengals took the division title in 2021 and 2022. The following two years, the Ravens crowned themselves champions of the AFC North.

With players such as Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, the Ravens-Bengals matchup will always turn heads. Thanksgiving will be full of food, family, and football. It looks to be the perfect nightcap on a holiday slate with three great matchups.

Report: Former Patriots Bust Could Be Cut Candidate – Will Anyone Sign Him?

After spending less than one season with the Washington Commanders, wide receiver KJ Osborn could be a cut candidate before the 2025 regular season. According to Bleacher Report, they believe the playmaker won’t make the 53-man roster despite re-signing a new contract this offseason to stay in Washington. The Commanders got a lot of talent in their receiver room after drafting Jaylin Lane this year and trading for Deebo Samuel. The team also got Michael Gallup out of retirement for an opportunity in the room, so the Commanders won’t be able to utilize every wideout since they already have Terry McLaurin, Luke McCaffrey and Noah Brown as well.

Osborn might be better off joining a team that is in dire need of a wide receiver or could use the depth. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the former Miami product had three solid seasons with the Minnesota Vikings playing alongside star Justin Jefferson. Osborn couldn’t excel with the Patriots since they had an overcrowded room of wide receivers, so it’s no fault of his own that he wasn’t the most productive. The same case happened for the Commanders as they were hoping to get him in the mix following the Noah Brown injury.

However, he was nothing more than an insurance policy, and it’s still possible the team could cut him. The Commanders don’t really need Osborn, but these four teams could.

Potential Destinations

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have two dynamic playmakers in George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, but why not add another wide receiver? The team has been reluctant to make some free agent moves to acquire a capable playmaker. While Amari Cooper is still on the market, they could do better by signing Osnborn on a fixed contract that’s in their salary range as a reliable WR3 to share the slant routes with Jalen Tolbert.

New Orleans Saints

Meanwhile, the Saints have one of the worst quarterback rooms in the league, following Derek Carr’s retirement. Chris Olave could request a trade in the next few weeks if he doesn’t desire to stay in a rebuilding stage. While Brandin Cooks is coming back brings temporary relief, they need a homegrown receiver to build up either Spencer Rattler or Tyler Shough. Rashid Shaheed could break out at any moment, and those chances could skyrocket if they sign Osborn.

Baltimore Ravens

However, the Ravens have been struggling to find a consistent receiver other than Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor and Diontae Johnson are the names that came and went for this offense. They could take a chance on Osborn if he becomes available and may emerge once DeAndre Hopkins retires.

Kansas City Chiefs

Even though the Chiefs always find a way to make the postseason, they can’t ignore their wide receiver issue. Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice are the two solid X-factors for this offense, but Marquise Brown is returning on probably a probable temporary role. Osborn might not start, but Patrick Mahomes could bring back his spark.

Breaking: Giants Latest Contract Restructure Could Signal Trade

While it’s still early to assume, the Giants’ linebacker Brian Burns contract restructure could signal a trade before the 2025 regular season. According to a report, to help make room for first-round pick Abdul Carter, the Giants are fixing the contract of Burns so there is room to maneuver in their cap space. Already, Burns is expendable since they signed Chauncey Golston and have Kayvon Thibodeaux, who is also the subject of trade rumors. It’s good news that the Giants have plenty to work with in the defensive linebacker room, but probably can’t afford it for the long-term future.

Originally selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the former Florida State product came into New York through a trade after spending his entire NFL career with the Carolina Panthers. While he did sign a massive $141 million contract last offseason, recording a solid first year with the Giants, finishing with 8.5 sacks and a 79.2 PFF grade. It might not be enough to intrigue the Giants to keep him around for the future since they’ve already used the fifth-year option on Thibodeaux, which keeps him on for two more years. There’s no issue in having too many pass-rushers on one team, but Burns could be the one that becomes the odd man out.

The linebacker isn’t slowing down anytime soon, so the Giants could get some decent draft capital in return for him. If he ends up on the trade block, expect these three teams to make a huge push for him.

Breaking: Giants Latest Brian Burns Contract Restructure Could Signal Trade

Possible Next Teams

Carolina Panthers

Nobody should rule out a possible reunion between the two. This offseason, the Carolina Panthers cut Jadeveon Clowney since he’s aging and they’re in dire need of a linebacker. Josey Jewell has been looking unproductive this past 2024 campaign, and the Panthers need some reinforcement to bolster this defense. The Panthers signed Tershawn Wharton to help Derrick Brown in the trenches, and now it’s time for them to bring back one of their better pass-rushers since the Panthers are looking promising with an adequate quarterback leading the pack.

With the addition of Tetairoa McMillian, the Panthers have the pieces to finally explode on offense. Burns could build the trenches unit back into the old mold at a better rate and could give up at least a second-round pick to make it happen.

New Orleans Saints

Meanwhile, the Saints are in the worst position as the offense continues to deplete each day this offseason. Derek Carr is no longer in the league, so this means new head coach Kellen Moore will have to navigate to survive without an adequate quarterback. While they do that, they should trade for someone like Burns to give Cameron Jordan and Pete Werner some insurance in the trenches. General Manager Mickey Loomis figured out a way to acquire Justin Reid in their secondary, so he could manipulate the system again to trade for Burns.

Los Angeles Chargers

However, the Chargers need a splash in their pass-rushing unit since they released Joey Bosa. Khalil Mack is one of the league’s best linebackers, but he can’t do much if it’s just him alone. While Burns is aging himself, head coach Jim Harbaugh loves an old-school defense and could fit the mold.

Cowboys INT Leader Could Be On the Trade Block

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs used to be one of the game’s better ballhawks, but a trade could send him away from America’s Team. A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Alabama product made an immediate impact for the Cowboys, earning two Pro Bowl selections in his first three seasons while recording a league-best 11 interceptions in 2021.

Unfortunately, injuries limited him to a combined 13 games in the past two seasons, and his inability to stay on the field could lead to a trade. According to Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski, Dallas could move the veteran after June 1st, save over $9.6 million, and earn a sixth-round pick for his services. With Micah Parsons set to earn a massive extension, several teams across the league should be interested in buying low on the former lockdown cornerback.

“Diggs has endured back-to-back season-ending injuries to the same knee, which resulted in only 13 total appearances,” Sobleski writes. “The 26-year-old could bounce back, but the Cowboys might not get the return they expected after signing the 2021 First-Team All-Pro to a five-year, $97 million contract extension.”

Next Teams

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the game’s premier cornerbacks in Trent McDuffie, but the rest of the room could use some work. Jaylen Watson had a promising first half of 2024, but who knows if he can keep it up. Free agent signee Kristian Fulton, meanwhile, is a career journeyman who is better off in a depth role. Trevon Diggs offers elite upside, and the Chiefs might as well roll the dice on a low-risk trade.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills came seconds away from the Super Bowl in multiple seasons and must do something to get over the hump. Buffalo’s defense is solid, but adding a potential lockdown cornerback could be huge when you share a conference with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers improved their defense in the offseason, but this still projects as one of the weaker units in the league. While Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson are an adequate starting duo, a Trevon Diggs trade could create one of the league’s better secondaries. Seeing as Carolina plays in a weak NFC South, Diggs’ presence could be enough to guide this team to an unlikely division championship.

Los Angeles Chargers

After making the playoffs during the first year of the Jim Harbaugh Era, the Los Angeles Chargers are set to make a run at the Super Bowl. The team spent most of the offseason upgrading the trenches and running game, but the secondary could still use some work. Fifth-round pick Tarheeb Still looks like the real deal, but this team could use a reliable CB2, especially with Asante Samuel Jr still unsigned. A Trevon Diggs trade would give this team serious upside and the chance to win arguably the most competitive division in football.

REPORT: Cowboys Could Target $24 Million Veteran – 3 Other Possible Fits?

The Dallas Cowboys could target one of the top free agents, Mike Hilton, before the 2025 regular season. According to Bleacher Report, the source believes Hilton could be a fit for the Cowboys even though they’ve been able to salvage the secondary unit. To no surprise, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland are on the hot seat since these two were supposed to be the lockdown starters for the department. However, it didn’t work out in the Cowboys’ favor since the two haven’t been on the same field together since 2023, but were able to play with each other for just one game last year.

Hilton is still one of the league’s best slot cornerbacks, so it’s hard to see that he’s still available, as he has a lot in the tank. It could be that many teams don’t want to take on the risk of having an aging cornerback. Originally selected as an undrafted rookie, the former Ole Miss product couldn’t stay with the Bengals since he didn’t fit the bill anymore. Cincinnati had several superstars on their roster looking for a new contract, so there was no room either way for the Bengals to mortgage their future.

Hilton is a versatile corner, so he should find a new team even if it’s not the Cowboys. They have plenty of depth, especially after drafting Shavon Revel Jr. to give some boost for Diggs and Bland. With that, these three teams could pursue Hilton at the right moment.

REPORT: Cowboys Could Target $24 Million Veteran Mike Hilton – 3 Other Possible Fits?

Los Angeles Chargers

Even though the Chargers got Donte Jackson this free agency to replace Kristian Fulton, they need another rotating cornerback at least to help this secondary stay afloat. The team signed Benjamin St-Juste, but he’s more of a backup than he is a starter. 2024 draft pick Cam Hart isn’t necessarily ready for full-time duties, so they need the best of the best to compete against fierce competitors in the AFC. Quarterback Justin Herbert can’t carry this team again, so the secondary needs a change that’s already undergoing through this offseason.

Mike Hilton doesn’t need to start to make plays happen for this explosive defense that’s getting better under defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Jackson doesn’t have the capable backup behind him, so perhaps these two could share the field.

New Orleans Saints

Meanwhile, the Saints are in dire need of a cornerback. They traded Marshon Lattimore last year due to salary cap concerns and injuries. The same thing happened to Paulson Adebo this offseason, even though it was through free agency. While the Saints will probably have a terrible offense, it doesn’t mean they should ignore improving the secondary unit. The defense could keep this entire organization intact to win ball games.

The only cornerback with a lot of upside is Kool-Aid McKinstry, but the same can’t be said about Alontae Taylor. Hilton could start alongside McKinstry as a new potential duo.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers don’t need a cornerback, but one for depth purposes. Jaycee Horn and Michael Jackson are the lockdown starters, and Hilton could streamline the unit behind them. Carolina might not make the playoffs this year, but if they add Hilton to their secondary unit, it could be a difference maker.

Breaking: Browns Could Trade All-Pro For Late-Round Pick

Cleveland Browns guard Joel Bitonio has been one of the team’s few consistent players since entering the league, but one article suggests the organization could trade him as he enters the final year of his contract. A former second-round pick, the Nevada product is not the same immovable force he was at the peak of his career, but he remains a reliable starter. However, the Browns are embracing a rebuild following the failed Deshaun Watson trade, and they may prefer a future draft pick to one year of service from the veteran.

At least, that’s what Bleacher Report‘s Brent Sobleski believes. In a recent article, the NFL analyst suggested Joel Bitonio is on the trade block and could fetch a 2026 fourth-round pick for the rebuilding Browns. Cleveland would probably welcome the pick, and the following four teams could make a move for the veteran.

Browns Could Trade Joel Bitonio – 4 Suitors Emerge

Possible Fits

Baltimore Ravens

Would the Browns ever trade Joel Bitonio to a division rival? They won’t want to, but they might have no choice if the Ravens make the best offer. Baltimore has a great tackle duo and one of the game’s elite centers in Tyler Linderbaum, but their guard position needs some work. While this is still a solid offensive line, Bitonio could turn it into one of the league’s best units. Opposing defenses have a tough enough time trying to stop Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, and that difficult task will be made all the harder with stronger interior blocking.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are placing their faith in Sam Darnold, which means they should fix the offensive line. Darnold had a great season in a near-perfect environment last year, but his time with the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets proves he can’t overcome a subpar supporting cast. Seattle’s guard situation is one of the worst in the league, and a Joel Bitonio trade would provide some much-needed stability to the team and help ensure Darnold plays up to his contract.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the league’s worst offensive lines, and they must do something about it in 2025. While the trio of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins can overcome subpar blocking, an improved offensive line would only make a potent passing attack that much more dangerous. Once again, the Browns might not be willing to trade Joel Bitonio to a division rival, but he’s exactly the type of player this team needs.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are not contenders and have a better shot of earning the first-overall pick than making the playoffs. However, that doesn’t mean they won’t trade for Joel Bitonio. With Derek Carr’s retirement, New Orleans will start an inexperienced quarterback in 2025. Whether it’s Spencer Rattler or rookie Tyler Shough, that quarterback will need adequate blocking to survive and potentially develop into a franchise quarterback.

Report: Commanders Named Fit For Top Free Agent

One of the top free agents is still on the market, but the Washington Commanders could finally be the team to sign wide receiver Amari Cooper before the 2025 regular season. According to Bleacher Report, the Commanders were named one of the best team fits for the former Bill wideout. Originally selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the former Alabama product is coming off a down year due to injuries since his arrival in Buffalo after spending the last two and a half seasons with the Cleveland Browns. It’s a bit shocking that Cooper is still available because when healthy, he can put up top-notch numbers and ensure that he can move the chains.

However, since he is getting older, not that many teams want to make a huge investment in him. This would be a perfect fit for the Commanders are trying to build. The team got Deebo Samuel and Michael Gallup on one-year deals, so they’re testing the waters on who will be the long-term pass-catcher for quarterback Jayden Daniels. It’s hard to say the Commanders will have more productive seasons after the surprising rookie year by Daniels, so you can’t judge by one season. If Daniels continues to improve each season, they should sign Cooper to ascend as one of the most reliable signal-callers in the league.

The team will have to eventually pay the quarterback when he’s eligible for an extension, so it’s smarter that they’re seeing who’s worth the long-term investment. The Commanders won’t be the only team that could eye Cooper, but these two rosters could bring him in for a visit.

Bleacher Report: Commanders Named Fit For Top Free Agent Amari Cooper – Chargers, Cowboys Could Intervene

Bolstering Herbert’s Offense

This would be a no-brainer for the Los Angeles Chargers. Quarterback Justin Herbert needs a capable deep threat pass-catcher who can lay it up in the air in crucial moments. While Cooper is past his prime, he could make a few physical plays to get the team in the right position to run the ball in the red zone. As of this posting, 2024 draft pick Ladd McConkey is still the best reliable wideout, even though it’ll be his second season this year.

Quentin Johnston has struggled to make any type of impact, so it’s hard to imagine that he has a future in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Chargers were too desperate and got Mike Williams back since they couldn’t snag DK Metcalf in a trade. 2025 draft pick Tre Harris has some promise in his playmaking abilities, but he isn’t ready for full-time duties. Cooper would save this entire offense as a capable WR1 alongside McConkey in the slot.

Completing the Dynamic Trio

Meanwhile, this will likely be the most logical for both sides. After trading for George Pickens, the Cowboys find themselves one pass-catching talent away from greatness. Dak Prescott has excellent chemistry with Cooper, and he could come back on a cheap deal. The offense would not only have Pickens or Cooper, but CeeDee Lamb in the mix. Many have said that Pickens and Lamb are their own No. 1 receiver, so imagine if you have three of them?

“No Longer Gonna Be Here” – Dolphins Coach Confirms Inevitable Trade

Even though he’s still a member of the team, everyone in the NFL world knows the Miami Dolphins will trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey before the start of the regular season. A three-time First-Team All-Pro, Ramsey isn’t quite as dominant as he was at his peak but remains a reliable starter. Starting in all 17 games, Ramsey finished the 2024 season with two interceptions, one sack, 11 passes defended, 60 tackles, and a 76.9 PFF grade, the 10th-best mark in the league.

Despite his strong play, the Miami Dolphins and Jalen Ramsey both announced they’re looking for a trade. While nothing materialized during the 2025 NFL Draft, recent comments by cornerbacks coach Mathieu Araujo confirm the star cornerback will not return in 2025.

“Look at the guys we got – what a great opportunity to step up because [Ramsey] was a starter that’s no longer gonna be here.”

“No Longer Gonna Be Here” – Dolphins Coach Calls Jalen Ramsey Trade Inevitable

Financially speaking, the Dolphins will probably wait until after June 1st to trade Jalen Ramsey. If they move him before that date, they’ll take a $25.2 million dead cap hit.
