Dolphins Trade Tyreek Hill

Breaking: Dolphins All-Pro Begs For Trade In Latest Twitter Rant

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been subject to trade rumors for most of the offseason, and they’re not slowing down any time soon. Hill’s drama began in Week 18 when he removed himself from the game – a decision head coach Mike McDaniel called “unacceptable.” Shortly thereafter, Hill began asking for a trade while speaking with the media. While the wide receiver later ran back those comments, recent tweets suggest he still wants a new home. On Sunday afternoon, Hill took to social media and made multiple tweets actively begging for a trade.

Now entering his age-31 season, Hill is coming off the worst full season since his rookie campaign. Starting and appearing in all 17 games, the eight-time Pro Bowler finished the year with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns while Miami’s offense never looked quite right. Perhaps he’s just slowing down, or perhaps opposing defenses have figured out how to counter Miami’s high-octane aerial attack. Either way, the Dolphins could decide Tyreek Hill is more trouble than he’s worth and trade him to one of the following teams.

Possible Suitors

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers embarrassingly ended their 2024 campaign, as the team’s subpar supporting cast couldn’t compensate for Justin Herbert having a bad game. Head coach Jim Harbaugh addressed the running back position and interior offensive line, but he has yet to do much about the wide receiver position. Second-round pick Ladd McConkey had a remarkable rookie season, but he can’t do everything by himself. Even if Tyreek Hill isn’t the same unstoppable force from his Kansas City days, the trade candidate would easily be the second-best player on this roster, and he should perform well when paired with a rocket-armed quarterback in Herbert.

Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders have the biggest competitive advantage in football: a franchise quarterback on a rookie contract. Jayden Daniels took this team to the NFC Championship Game as a rookie and Washington has already upgraded the wide receiver room with Deebo Samuel. However, there’s room for one more, as a Tyreek Hill trade could give this team the most well-rounded room in the league. Hill can still stretch the field, Samuel is dangerous after the catch, and Terry McLaurin can do a little bit of everything. With these three supporting one of the league’s best young passers, the Commanders should be Super Bowl contenders.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have a remarkably young group of wide receivers, and it wouldn’t hurt to add some experience to the room. Tyreek Hill and his off-field issues may not be the ideal mentor, but the trade candidate can still play. Bryce Young showed real promise down the stretch with these untested weapons, and a proven veteran like Hill could be enough to help Carolina win what should be a weak NFC South.

Kansas City Chiefs

Who doesn’t like a good reunion? While Marquise Brown is back and Xavier Worthy appears to be in the clear from league discipline, it can’t hurt to add more speed to this offense. With Travis Kelce getting older, Patrick Mahomes needs a reliable target who can be his go-to receiver. Brown and Worthy never showed that ability last year, and Rashee Rice is returning from a season-ending knee injury. Hill still has some juice left in his tank and could help this team hoist another Lombardi Trophy following their lopsided defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
