Eight-year veteran tight end Evan Engram signed a new contract with the Denver Broncos. Engram, a former first-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars but also played for the New York Giants.

The Jacksonville Jaguars struggled through the 2024 season, but Evan Engram had a solid season despite the chaos. While injuries limited him to just nine games, the veteran still recorded 47 receptions for 365 yards, one touchdown, and a 74.5 PFF grade, the 12th-best mark out of 74 eligible players. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to save head coach Doug Pederson’s job, and new head coach Liam Coen decided to release the veteran ahead of the 2025 league year.
Evan Engram originally entered the league as a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Selected by the New York Giants, the Mississippi product began his career on a high note. Appearing in 15 games while making 11 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural season with 64 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns on 115 targets. Despite his efforts, the Giants could not make the playoffs.
The Giants fired Ben McAdoo midway through the 2017 season and Engram never truly found a home with head coaches Pat Shurmur and Joe Judge. While he made the Pro Bowl in 2020 with a 63-catch, 654-yard season, he ultimately finished his Giants tenure on a low note. In 2021, the tight end appeared in 15 games and recorded just 46 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns.
Now a free agent, Evan Engram signed a new contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2022 offseason. This proved to be a great investment, as the former first-round pick recorded 73 receptions for 766 yards and four touchdowns while helping Trevor Lawrence and company make the playoffs and pull off a fantastic comeback in the Wild Card Round. He was even better in 2023, making the Pro Bowl while recording 114 receptions for 963 yards and four touchdowns.
