Davante Adams 3-Time All-Pro Signs Contract

11-year veteran wide receiver Davante Adams signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Rams. Adams, a former second-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders but also played for the Green Bay Packers.

The 2024 season was something of a mixed bag for Davante Adams. Starting the year with the Las Vegas Raiders, the veteran only played in three games before the team sent him to the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers. While the Jets struggled to meet expectations, Adams played well in his new environment. During his 11 games with Gang Green, the wide receiver recorded 67 receptions for 854 yards and seven touchdowns. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to save his job, as New York released him and Rodgers ahead of the 2025 league year.

Davante Adams originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Selected by the Green Bay Packers, the Fresno State product needed some time to establish himself in the league. Starting his career as the third receiver on the depth chart, Adams played a complementary role as a rookie but couldn’t handle increased opportunities during his second year in the league. Catching just 50 of his 94 targets for 483 yards and one touchdown, Adams was one of the league’s least efficient receivers.

Fortunately, something clicked in 2016, as Adams overcame his slow start and developed into one of the league’s most dangerous receivers. Following a 997-yard, 12-touchdown 2016, Adams proved he was the real deal with six consecutive Pro Bowl selections. While having Rodgers as a quarterback helped his production, he proved he could remain an elite weapon with Derek Carr. Joining the Raiders in 2022, the veteran finished the year with 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a league-high 14 receiving touchdowns.

Since signing his rookie contract, Davante Adams has recorded 957 receptions for 11,844 yards and 103 touchdowns.
