Fantasy Quarterbacks to Target in Dynasty Leagues

This installment will deal with quarterbacks, whom we feel are good targets to acquire within dynasty leagues. The fantasy season never ends for dynasty owners; managers must constantly look to improve or tweak their rosters. Whether you are an existing or a potentially new owner looking to purchase an orphaned team. The keen owners will be looking to acquire players that others may be down on coming off an injury-plagued, disappointing season or have a good long-term outlook. We like two quarterbacks who fall into this category as we enter the fantasy community begins to enter the off-season.

Fantasy Quarterbacks To Target in Dynasty Leagues

Justin Herbert’s arrow is pointing up in the fantasy community. As stated earlier, the keen fantasy manager will look for ways to acquire a player an owner may be down on. Herbert enters the off-season fresh off the disastrous four-interception game against the Texans. Now could be a good time to check in on his dynasty manager and buy low.

As we dig into Herbert’s 2024 campaign, he finished the season as the overall quarterback 11. However, he was even better after week seven. In his first seven games, Herbert averaged 10.17 fantasy points per week and with an average weekly finish as QB19. From week eight on, his average jumped to 19.77 points per game and a weekly QB12 finish. We are not that far off in our thinking, as Herbert ranks seventh in dynasty quarterback rankings.

Herbert entered the season without a true alpha wide receiver, but Ladd McConkey emerged as the Los Angeles Charger’s WR1. Herbert finished the season with a stellar 23-3 touchdown touchdown-to-interception ratio and plays in an offensive system that is competent in utilizing a mobile quarterback. The Chargers began to utilize Herbert’s legs in that latter half also, as 89% of his rushing yards came after week seven. Herbert is just 26 years old and can be a long-term answer for a quarterback-needy dynasty team.

Dak Prescott is a Quarterback Option for Dynasty Teams

Dak Prescott is a definite buy-low option for dynasty owners this off-season. Prescott’s 2024 season was cut short by injury, and before that, he was off to a subpar fantasy output. He finished the 2024 campaign with just 11 touchdowns, eight interceptions, and 14.56 fantasy points per game. At that pace, he would have been the overall QB26.

Let’s remember that he is just one year removed from a 2023 campaign where he finished as the overall QB3, with 4516 passing yards, 36 touchdown passes, and second in MVP voting. Another huge factor is Dak seems to be on board the promotion of Brian Schottenheimer as head coach. There is familiarity with Dak, having been in this offensive system the past two seasons.

Prescott currently sits as the QB18 in the 2025 dynasty quarterback ranking, but we feel he has the potential to outproduce that in 2025 if things break right. The 2023 Dallas Cowboys team led by Prescott was top five in scoring offense and led the league in points scored. Reach out to a Prescott dynasty owner who may be stuck on recent bias and get him on the cheap. He is only 31 years old, has a major alpha wide-out in CeeDee Lamb,
