Danielle Hunter Trade

5 Trade Destinations For NFL Sack Leader

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Minnesota Vikings are receiving trade offers for star pass rusher Danielle Hunter. With the trade deadline one week away, the 3-4 Vikings need to decide if they’re going to sell or hold on to their star players in hopes of earning a Wild Card spot. Following their upset victory over the San Francisco 49ers, there is a chance the team stands pat and goes all-in on the postseason. However, if they decide to deal their veterans, there should be plenty of suitors for the three-time Pro Bowler.

5 Teams That Should Trade For Danielle Hunter

Miami Dolphins

Even with a disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles under the belt, it’s safe to say that the Miami Dolphins are one of the best teams in the league. The offense is going to be elite as long as Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill are healthy, but the defense needs more firepower. A Danielle Hunter trade would dramatically improve their defensive line, and the pass rusher should be able to tee up against offenses that will have to throw early and often to keep up with Miami’s passing attack.

Kansas City Chiefs

The 2023 Kansas City Chiefs defense is probably the best of the Patrick Mahomes Era, but there is always room for improvement. The team could use another veteran pass rusher, as they have been linked to free agent Frank Clark. While Clark may have experience in the system, Danielle Hunter is a substantially better player. Assuming the trade cost isn’t too high, Kansas City should go all-in on their ferocious pass rush.

Dallas Cowboys

It is clear that the Dallas Cowboys are trying to build around their defense. Micah Parsons is a superstar and DeMarcus Lawrence is playing at a Pro Bowl level, but this team could use a third pass rusher if they want to truly win games on that side of the ball. A Danielle Hunter trade could give the Cowboys the best defense in the game, which should help them make their long-awaited return to the Super Bowl.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are finally a winning team, but last week’s beat down at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens shows that they’re not quite ready to compete against the best of the best. Aidan Hutchinson is playing up to his draft pedigree, but the Lions don’t have a second player capable of getting after the quarterback. Danielle Hunter is an ideal trade fit, and the T.J. Hockenson deal shows that these two teams have no issues with trading within the division.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are not a good football team, and they’ll need to turn it around if Dennis Allen wants to keep his job. The mass exodus of pass-rushing talent is rearing its ugly head, as New Orleans has one of the least effective front sevens in football. Fortunately, one good pass rusher is enough to make a difference in this weak division, and Hunter might just be the missing piece to winning the worst division in football.
