Jacoby Brissett is coming off arguably the best season of his career. Signed to fill in for a suspended Deshaun Watson, Brissett started the first 11 games of Cleveland’s season. While under center, the quarterback completed a career-high 64% of his passes for 2,608 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions. While Watson regained the starting job following his suspension, Brissett outperformed Watson in just about every quarterback metric out there.

Brissett originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Selected by the Patriots, the North Carolina State product began his career as New England’s third quarterback. However, after a Tom Brady suspension and a Jimmy Garoppolo injury, the rookie had to start two games. During his time under center, Brissett completed 61.8% of his passes for 400 yards while adding another 83 yards and a score on the ground.

New England traded Brissett to the Colts prior to the start of the 2017 season. While he began the season as a backup, he earned the starting job in Week 2 and never looked back. Starting in 15 games, Brissett finished his inaugural season with the Colts completing 58.8% of his passes for 3,098 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while adding another 260 yards and four scores on the ground.

Andrew Luck returned to the lineup in 2018, and Brissett returned to the bench. However, following Luck’s surprise retirement prior to the start of the 2019 season, Brissett once again became the Colts primary starter. During the season, the quarterback finished the year with a 7-8 record in 15 games, completing 60.9% of his passes for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions while adding another 228 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
