Entering his sixth season in the pros, Mike White will be 28 years old. In 2022, White started four games for the Jets, finishing with a 1-3 record. For a short stint, it appeared White would be the season savior for New York, due to Zach Wilson‘s injuries and declining performance. However, a rib injury suffered against the Buffalo Bills prevented White from finishing the year fully healthy. In the end, White completed 58.9% of his passes on his way to throwing for 1,192 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. Most notably, White averaged 298 passing yards per game in an offense that has struggled to throw the ball in recent years. All of his passing touchdowns game in his first start in week 12 against the Chicago Bears, which the Jets won 31-10.

Prior to the 2022 season, White played in four games, making three starts in 2021. It marked his first NFL action, as he went 1-2, throwing for five touchdowns and eight interceptions. Despite so-so numbers, White has flashed high-upside as a game manager, completing 66.7% of his passes.

Mike White’s legend began in week 8 of the 2021 season against the Cincinnati Bengals. New York upset the Bengals 34-31, as White completed 37 of 45 passes for 405 yards. With three passing touchdowns, White won AFC Offensive Player of the Week as a result.

25 days after being waived by the Cowboys in 2019, the Jets signed White to their practice squad. The Western Kentucky product was selected 171st overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, having thrown for 8,540 passing yards and 63 touchdowns in his final two collegiate seasons.
