6 Allen Robinson Trade Destinations

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson is exploring a trade, and several teams should be interested in the veteran.
Allen Robinson Trade

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson is looking for a trade, according to a report by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Robinson only spent one injury-plagued year with the Rams, but it’s clear that the team is trying to rebuild and won’t be ready to compete before the 29-year-old receiver is past his prime. Robinson might not be the player he once was, but other teams will likely roll the dice on the former Pro Bowler.

Top 6 Allen Robinson Trade Fits, Ranked

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens need more talent at the wide receiver position, so when one becomes available, you have to assume they’ll be interested. There is a very real chance the Ravens won’t have Lamar Jackson next year, which means that they will have excess money to spend on a wide receiver and a desperate need to support whichever rookie they end up drafting. Robinson wouldn’t singlehandedly fix the issue, but he’d be a reliable option to pair opposite Rashod Bateman. Add in a surprisingly cheap Jakobi Meyers and suddenly this offense doesn’t look so bad.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are reportedly the favorites to land wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, but if they can’t trade for him, they might as well go for Allen Robinson. Like Hopkins, Robinson is a bigger receiver that uses his size and strength to win in downfield contested situations. Robinson is clearly a downgrade from Hopkins, but he might be an upgrade on DeVante Parker.

Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb is a star, but the rest of the Dallas Cowboys offense leaves something to be desired. Dalton Schultz is likely leaving in free agency, Michael Gallup did not look good in his first year back from his ACL tear, and there isn’t another notable pass-catcher on the roster. Jerry Jones has never shied away from making a big move, and Robinson would certainly fill a need.

Kansas City Chiefs

The reigning Super Bowl champions have the best offense in football, but they could use another wide receiver. Juju Smith-Schuster is a free agent, and while Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore have potential, they don’t have a perimeter threat that can win jump balls in the red zone. Just like the Patriots, the Chiefs want to trade for DeAndre Hopkins, and Allen Robinson could be a great fallback if they miss out.

Cleveland Browns

After his long football hiatus, Deshaun Watson is back on the field and should improve on his underwhelming 2022. The Browns went all-in on Watson and, with no early-round picks to speak of, the team might have no choice but to trade a mid-round pick for a dart throw like Robinson. If he can recapture his old form, the trio of Watson, Robinson, and Amari Cooper could be one of the best in the league.

New Orleans Saints

Based on how aggressive they were in their pursuit of Derek Carr, it’s clear that the Saints believe they can compete in 2022. If that’s the case, then they’re probably looking for a veteran receiver opposite young superstar Chris Olave. The Rams are reportedly willing to eat some money to make a trade happen, and if the cap number is low enough, New Orleans could pull the trigger.
