Looking at the Minnesota Vikings Odds for the 2022 NFL Season

Team Odds

When it comes to team future bets and the odds placed on Minnesota in season-long events, BetMGM isn’t too terribly high on the purple and gold.

When it comes to the Vikings stance in the division along with the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and Chicago Bears, Minnesota has the second-best odds to come out on top of the NFC North this season. The Vikings hold odds of +250, trailing only the Packers at -155. Minnesota is ahead of Detroit (+850) and Chicago (+1100) in division odds.

As for the NFC as a conference in totality, the Vikings did crack the top 10 in odds to take home the No. 1 seed in the conference at the end of the regular season. BetMGM, which has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+300), Dallas Cowboys (+500), and Packers (+500) as favorites to claim the top seed, lists Minnesota sixth with odds of +1400.

The Vikings do hold better odds for the team most likely to claim a Wild Card spot in the NFC, ranking fifth among teams in the conference with odds of +290. The favorites in this category are the San Francisco 49ers (+160) and Cowboys (+195).

When it comes to the Super Bowl, Minnesota ranks tied for 12th to win the Lombardi Trophy (+4000), while also ranking tied for eighth to win the NFC Championship (+1800).

Individual Odds

When it comes to individual awards, BetMGM has some high expectations for a few members of the Vikings, both players, and coaches.

Justin Jefferson holds over/under marks of 102.5 receptions, 9.5 receiving touchdowns, and 1349.5 receiving yards. He is also tied for third at +900 to haul in the most regular season receptions, along with tied for third at +900 to record the most receiving touchdowns.

Jefferson comes in tied for second to win AP Offensive Player of the Year, tied with Cooper Kupp with odds of +1200. Jonathan Taylor is the early favorite to claim the award at +900.

Fellow Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen holds over/under marks of 69.5 receptions, 7.5 receiving touchdowns, and 750.5 receiving yards. Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook comes in at 1499.5 total yards, 1,174.5 rushing yards, and 9.5 rushing touchdowns, and Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins enters with marks of 4,199.5 passing yards, 31.5 passing touchdowns, and 10.5 interceptions.

Defensively, edge rusher Danielle Hunter holds over/under marks of 11.5 sacks, while safety Harrison Smith comes in at 2.5 interceptions this season.

Outside of player performance, Vikings, Kevin O’Connell is receiving some recognition as a potential Coach of the Year candidate by BetMGM. O’Connell, who is entering his first season at the helm in Minnesota, is tied for second to take home AP Coach of the Year honors while sitting tied with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll with odds of +1400. Those two trail Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell with odds of +1000.

There is plenty to look forward to this NFL season, not just with the action returning to the field but with the betting opportunities that come along with it.
