Emmanuel Ogbah Signs With Miami Dolphins

Emmanuel Ogbah signed a four-year, $65 million contract with the Miami Dolphins. Ogbah spent the 2021 season with the Miami Dolphins.

Emmanuel Ogbah Signs With Miami Dolphins

Emmanuel Ogbah started 11 of 17 games he played for the Dolphins in 2021. The defensive end has been great in Miami with nine sacks each of the last two seasons. Ogbah also has 41 tackles and 42 tackles in 2021 and 2020 respectively with four total forced fumbles. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy began his tenure with Miami in 2020 signing a two-year $15 million contract, helping Miami defensively immediately.

Before playing in Miami, Ogbah played for the Kansas City Chiefs. He started in four games getting on track quickly with 5.5 sacks and 32 total tackles. Before his stop in Kansas City, Ogbah was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland Browns

Ogbah started 40 out of 40 games for Cleveland with 12.5 sacks and 122 tackles. The defensive end was part of the rebuild in Cleveland amidst multiple terrible seasons for the Browns. He played opposite defensive star Myles Garrett. Garrett and Ogbah played complimentary football attacking both sides of the offensive line. Cleveland struggled to win games but was regarded as an extremely talented team defensively thanks in large part to their tremendous pass rush. The Browns traded Ogbah to the Chiefs in 2019 for safety Eric Murray. The young defensive end has bounced around the league, making his presence known at each destination.

College Football in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Before being drafted 32nd overall by Cleveland, Ogbah played college football for Oklahoma State University. He redshirted his freshmen year before starting all 13 games in 2013. He was great in 2013 finishing the season with 20 tackles and four sacks. Ogbah continued his Big 12 dominance earning conference defensive lineman of the year with 49 tackles and 11 sacks.

Ogbah was born in Lago, Nigeria moving to Houston, Texas when he was nine years old. He made a name for himself in high school playing for George Bush High School before committing to Oklahoma State University. Ogbah chose Oklahoma State University over other institutions after seeking advice from Russell Okung.
