Jaquiski Tartt Signs Contract With San Francisco 49ers

NFL strong safety Jaquiski Tartt signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Tartt spent the 2020 season with the San Fransisco 49ers.

The 49ers selected Tartt, 46th overall in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Tartt signed a four-year entry-level contract worth $5.03. During the 2020-21 season, Tartt completed one interception for seven yards and four passes defended in seven games started. Tartt; furthermore, completed 20 solo and 10 assisted tackles. During the week nine game against the Green Bay Packers, Tartt suffered a season-ending turf toe injury.

During the 2019-2020 season, Tartt completed a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, with also two passes defended. Tartt also completed 34 solo tackles and 14 assisted tackles, with one Quarterback hit in 12 games. In three playoff games, Tartt completed one sack, one Quarterback hit, 11 solo, and three assisted tackles. The 49ers would lose to the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl 54.

Tartt signed a two-year, $13 million contract extension on April 27th. During the 2018-19 season, Tartt suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. Tartt completed his 2018-19 campaign with one interception of 23 yards, two passes defended, 32 solo, and 10 assisted tackles.

Tartt in the 2017-18 season, suffered a fractured forearm against the Arizona Cardinals that; consequently, ended his season. Tartt in nine games completed one interception for 37 yards, 38 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, and three Quarterback hits. During the 2016-17 season, Tartt completed 47 solo and 14 assisted tackles with three Quarterback hits in 15 games. Tartt suffered a quadriceps injury during week five. During the 2015-16 season, Tartt suffered a knee injury that; consequently, caused him to miss the game against the then St. Louis Rams during Week 17. Tartt completed one interception of 25 yards, with 52 solo and 13 assisted tackles. Tartt also completed three Quarterback hits.

Jaquiski Tartt attended and played college football at Samford University from 2011-2014 for the Samford Bulldogs. Tartt attended Davidson High School in Alabama.
