Marlon Mack has signed a new contract with the Indianapolis Colts. According to Tom Pelissero, it’s a one-year, $2 million deal. Mack spent the 2020 season with the Indianapolis Colts.

Marlon Mack spent the 2020 season with the Indianapolis Colts. It was Mack’s fifth season overall with the team. In the 2020 season, he rushed for just 26 yards on four attempts. In the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mack suffer a torn Achilles. Due to the injury, Mack sat out the remainder of the season.

Before the 2020 season began, Mack was expected to have a solid year in the Colts’ running scheme. But due to injury, his season was cut short before the veteran had the chance to stake his claim at a rushing title.

The 2019 season was Mack’s best of his young career. In 14 games, he started 12 of them and rushed for 1,091 yards on 247 carries. Mack finished that season with eight rushing touchdowns. He also played a role in the pass catching game. Mack caught 14 passes for 82 yards in 2019.

In 2018, Mack ran for 908 yards on 195 attempts in 10 starts and 12 total games played. He wasn’t the team’s main running back, but he made a big contribution to the team. He had nine touchdowns in 2018 and averaged 4.7 yards per rush. Out of the backfield, Mack caught 17 passes for 103 yards and one touchdown.

Marlon Mack debuted in the NFL as a rookie in 2017 for the Colts. That season, he ran the ball 93 times for 358 yards and three touchdowns. He also recorded 21 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown.

Before showing his skills in the league, Mack was a standout running back at the University of South Florida. With the Bulls, Mack rushed for 1,041 yards on 202 carries and nine touchdowns as a freshman in 2014.

His sophomore season in 2015 was about the same. Mack rushed for 1,381 yards on 210 carries with eight touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.

During his junior year in 2016, Mack ran for 1,187 yards and 15 touchdowns on 174 carries. Out of the backfield, he hauled in 28 receptions for 227 yards.
