Nelson Agholor Signs With Las Vegas Raiders

Nelson Agholor is officially off the open market. The former first-round pick spent the 2019 season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Five-year NFL wide receiver, Nelson Agholor, has signed a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. As of this posting, the exact financial value of the contract is not available to the public. Agholor, a one-time Super Bowl champion, spent the last five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Nelson Agholor Signs With Las Vegas Raiders

Agholor spent the 2019 season with the Philadelphia Eagles as one of the team’s starting receivers. Starting in 10 games, Agholor set career lows in yards per reception and yards per target. Agholor compiled 363 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns on the season. He also averaged 9.3 yards per reception and 33 receiving yards per game. Agholor also compiled 39 receptions on 69 targets.

Agholor initially entered the league in 2015 as the 20th overall pick of the first round. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles, Agholor recorded 23 receptions for 283 yards and one touchdown his rookie year. Additionally, Agholor racked up 11 first downs, 12.3 yards per reception, and 21.8 yards per game.

In total, Agholor spent five years with the Philadelphia Eagles. During his time there, the first-round wide receiver has recorded 224 receptions for 2515 yards. Additionally, Agholor has compiled 18 touchdowns, 109 first down receptions, and averaged 35.4 yards per game.

Agholor never spent much time rushing the ball throughout the course of his five-year stint with the Philadelphia Eagles. Agholor had just 11 rushes for 60 yards and zero touchdowns. He did manage to compile five rushing first downs while averaging 5.5 yards per attempt.

Out of all currently active wide receivers in the league, Agholor ranks 22nd in two point conversions made and 24th in fumbles returned for a touchdown. Struggling with drops throughout the course of his career, Agholor has made a name for himself as someone that quarterbacks struggle to rely on. Agholor has yet to earn a Pro Bowl nomination and has been held to zero touchdowns in five career playoff games.
