Week 11 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Week 11 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits: Winning week to week in fantasy football is all about match-ups. Here are some starts and sits for Week 11.

One of the most crucial parts of playing fantasy football is playing the match-ups. Now it’s certainly true that some players are match-up proof; you are not going to sit Aaron Rodgers or Antonio Brown. Below are some Week 11 fantasy football starts and sits to help you win this week.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Starts

Russell Wilson

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is coming off back-to-back 20-plus fantasy point games over the last two weeks. Wilson has seemed to have found his rhythm and in Week 11 is going up against the Philadelphia Eagles at home. With Wilson throwing the ball more, expect Wilson to continue his solid production this week.

Kirk Cousins

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has been solid throughout the season, and is averaging 17 fantasy points per game this season. In Week 11 he has a solid match-up against the Green Bay Packers who gave up 27 fantasy points to Marcus Mariota last week. Expect Cousins to produce solid totals in what should be a high-scoring game.

LeGarrette Blount

New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount has been one of the best running backs this season, and is currently averaging 15 fantasy points per game. In Week 11 he is going up against the San Francisco 49ers who are giving up the most fantasy points to running backs so far this season.

Jonathan Stewart

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart has had a little bit of a rough season so far, as he has been not as consistent as he was in 2015. He has also dealt with a few injuries. Stewart is coming off a disappointing Week Ten where he totaled only three fantasy points. In Week 11, he should bounce back against a New Orleans Saints defense who is giving up the third most fantasy points to running backs this season. Expect Stewart to see plenty of touches this week as the best way to beat the Saints is to keep the ball away from Drew Brees and run the clock.

Allen Robinson

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson is coming off back-to-back solid games where he averaged 15 fantasy points. Robinson is finally starting to look like the number one wide receiver he was in 2015. He has a date with the Detroit Lions in Week 11, who have been a decent match-up for wide receivers this season.

Jamison Crowder

Washington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been the best receiver on his team in 2016. He has scored in half of his games this season. In Week 11 he is going up against the Green Bay Packers, whose defense has been giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. Expect Crowder to continue to produce fantasy points this week.

Martellus Bennett

New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett is coming off of solid Week Ten. where he totaled over 100 receiving yards. With the injury to follow tight end Rob Gronkowski expect Bennett to see an increase in targets. He should be a solid tight end this week against the San Francisco 49ers, who are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season.

Delanie Walker

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker has been one of the best tight ends in fantasy so far this season, and he is averaging eight fantasy points per game. It Week 11 he is going up against the Indianapolis Colts who have been a solid match-up for tight ends so far this season.

Sits

Carson Palmer

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has been one of the bigger disappointments so far in 2016. Last season, Palmer averaged 20 fantasy points per game. So far this year he has only averaged 14 fantasy points per game. He is coming off a disappointing Week Ten where he only scored 14 fantasy points in a great match-up against the San Francisco 49ers, who had given up the most fantasy points quarterbacks this season. In Week 11, he is going up against the Minnesota Vikings defense which has been tough on quarterbacks. With Palmer being so inconsistent, he is a risky play this week.

Jay Cutler

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is coming off a very disappointing Week Ten where he only scored eight fantasy points. Many expected him to have a solid game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who had been a solid match-up for quarterbacks this season. With the suspension of star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, Cutler is not worth a start in Week 11 against a New York Giants defense that has been tough on quarterbacks this season.

Terrance West

Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West has been a solid flex option for fantasy owners this season, but over the past three weeks he has only averaged four fantasy points per game. This has a lot to do with him losing touches to rookie running back Kenneth Dixon. Dixon has seen an increase in touches in every week since coming back from injury. West has a tough match-up this week against the Dallas Cowboys who are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. West is a risky play in Week 11.

Jerick McKinnon

Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon was thought to be the next man up when Adrian Peterson went down with a season ending injury, but has averaged only four fantasy points per game this season. He has also dealt with injuries, which has caused him to miss a couple of games as well. In Week 11 he has a difficult match-up against the Arizona Cardinals who have been tough on running backs this season.

Jarvis Landry

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry has struggled at times this season and has been a better receiver in PPR than in standard leagues. Over his last two games he is averaging only four fantasy points, and has only found the end zone once in 2016. While Landry is a special talent, fantasy owners should temper expectations in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams, who have been decent against wide receivers. With Landry struggling to produce yards and touchdowns, he is a risky play this week.

DeAndre Hopkins

Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been one of the biggest busts so far in 2016. When Houston signed free agent quarterback Brock Osweiler, formerly of the Denver Broncos, many thought Hopkins would continue to be a number one wide receiver in fantasy and in the NFL. Hopkins has averaged only four fantasy points over his last four games. He has also only found the end zone three times this season. The lack of production is not only on Hopkins, but because of the inconsistent play of his quarterback. He is going up against the Oakland Raiders who are coming off their bye week on Monday night. Hopkins is one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL, but with his struggles he is a big risk-reward play this week.

Dennis Pitta

Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta has struggled throughout the season to produce fantasy points since he came back from his injury. Since coming back he has only one 100 yard game and has yet to find the end zone. In Week 11 he is going up against the Dallas Cowboys.

Zach Ertz

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is coming off an average Week Ten where he scored five fantasy points. He has a tough match-up this week against the Seattle Seahawks, who have been one of the tougher defenses against tight ends this season. With quarterback Carson Wentz looking more and more like a rookie, Ertz is a risky play in Week 11.
