Fantasy Football Starts and Sits for Week Five

Winning week to week in Fantasy Football is all about playing the match ups. Here are some Fantasy Football Starts and Sits for week five.

One of the most crucial parts of playing fantasy football is playing the match-ups. Now some players are matchup-proof; you are not going to sit Aaron Rodgers or Antonio Brown. These are some fantasy football starts  and sits for a week five to help you win you’re match-up this week.

Fantasy Football Starts and Sits for Week Five

Starts

Derek Carr

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been solid so far this season and is averaging 20 fantasy points per game this season. In week five Carr has a solid match vs division rival San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have been a favorable matchup for quarterbacks so far this season

Jameis Winston

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been a little inconsistent so far this season. In week five Winston has a solid matchup vs the Carolina Panthers who gave up 36 fantasy points to Matt Ryan in week four.

Frank Gore

Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore is like a fine wine and just gets better with age. Gore is averaging 12 fantasy point per game so far this season. In week five Gore is going up against the Chicago Bears defense and should be a solid play.

Carlos Hyde

San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde is coming off back to back solid games. Hyde is showing why he was worth the early round picks in the draft this year. In week five he has a solid matchup against the Arizona Cardinals who have been a decent match up for running back so far this season.

Julian Edelman

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is coming off of a disappointing week four. He did have a 90-yard reception that was called back for a penalty which would have made his fantasy day in week four. With Tom Brady coming back from suspension and Rob Gronkowski dealing with injuries, Edelman should see plenty of target in week five against the Cleveland Browns.

Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been a decent wide receiver to so far this season. He has been a little inconsistent due to the inconsistency from his quarterback. In week five he has a solid matchup against the Carolina Panthers who gave up 300 receiving yards and a touchdown to Julio Jones last week.

Hunter Henry

San Diego Chargers tight end Hunter Henry has been solid over the past few weeks. Henry is averaging nine fantasy points over the last two weeks with Antonio Gates out due to injury. If Gates misses week five, Henry is a solid play against the Oakland Raiders who are giving up the most yards to tight ends the season.

Delanie Walker

Tennessee Titans tight and Delanie Walker has not had the start to his season that many had hoped. Walker has dealt with a few injuries and his quarterback has been inconsistent. Walker has a solid match up with the Miami Dolphins in week five. He should be a solid play as the Dolphins are giving up the ninth most points to tight ends the season.

Sits

Tyrod Taylor

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been inconsistent this season. With his number one wide receiver being placed on injured reserved Taylor will have a little more difficult time producing fantasy points consistently every week. Taylor has a tough matchup in week five with the Los Angeles Rams who have been one of the better defense so far this season.

Matthew Stafford

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is coming off of a disappointing week four where he totaled only eight fantasy points. In week five he has a tough matchup vs a surprisingly good Philadelphia Eagles defense. The Eagles limited Ben Roethlisberger to only three fantasy points a few weeks ago. With the Eagles coming off of their bye they will have had a fair amount of time to prepare for this game Stafford is a risky play in week five.

Latavius Murray

Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray is having a decent season so far, but it is mainly because he has been able to find the endzone three out of the first four weeks of the season. Murray is in a true running back by committee. Each of the Oakland Raiders running backs have been averaging 10 touches per game. He is extremely touchdown dependent and in week five has a decent matchup vs the San Diego Chargers. With Murray getting limited touches he is a risky play in week five.

Charles Sims

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Charles Sims is coming off a very disappointing week four where he had two fantasy points. He had a difficult matchup in week five against the Carolina Panthers who are tough on running backs this season.

Amari Cooper

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper is not having the season many had hoped. Cooper has not found in the end zone so far this season and is averaging eight fantasy points per game. In week five Cooper has a difficult match up vs the San Diego Chargers in week five who have been tough on wide receivers this season.

Randall Cobb

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is having a disappointing 2016 season so far. Cobb is averaging four fantasy points per game so far this season. He has a tough match up in week five with the New York Giants who have been one of the tougher defenses so far this season.

Eric Ebron

Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron has a difficult matchup in week five vs. a solid Philadelphia Eagles defense. The Eagles defense is giving up the fewest point to tight ends so far this season.

Jacob Tamme

Atlanta Falcons tight and Jacob Tamme is having a decent start to the 2016 season. In week five Tamme has a difficult matchup vs the Denver Broncos who have been one of the toughest defenses over the past few season.
