Antoine Vermette Wins Another Multi-OT Game for Blackhawks
2015: The Chicago Blackhawks forward scores 5:37 into the second overtime as they beat the Anaheim Ducks in Game 4 of the Western Final. His goal helped Chicago tie the final at two games apiece with a 5-4 victory.
It’s the fourth multiple-overtime win for the Blackhawks, which is a league record. Vermette was a healthy scratch in Game 3, but made an impact. Anaheim had a 4-3 lead in the third period, but Patrick Kane tied the game with 8:21 in regulation.

1977: Gordie Howe, Mark Howe and Marty Howe each leave the Houston Aeros of the WHA for the New England Whalers.
1979: The New England, who just joined from the WHA, officially change their name to the Hartford Whalers.
1991: Mark Recchi scores twice and Larry Murphy has four assists in the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-4 Game 5 win over the Minnesota North Stars.
1995: Paul Coffey ties Denis Potvin for highest-scoring defenceman in the playoffs. Coffey gets a goal and an assist in the Detroit Red Wings 6-2 Game 2 win over the San Jose Sharks.
2000: Joe Nieuwendyk scores 12:10 into overtime as the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche. Dallas wins 3-2 to take Game 5 and three games to two lead.
2010: The Blackhawks reach the Final for the first time since 1992 with a 4-2 win over the Sharks. Dustin Byfuglien scores his third game-winning goal of the playoffs.
2016: Joe Pavelski scores twice in a 6-3 Game 5 victory over the St. Louis Blues. Pavelski gives the Sharks a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference Final.
2018: Andre Burakovsky scores twice as the Washington Capitals advance to the Final for the first time since 1998. Washington wins 4-0 in Game 7 over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
