The Montreal Canadiens have sent forward Nick Cousins to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2021.

Vegas Acquires Nick Cousins
Cousins was signed by the Montreal Canadiens last offseason. He signed a one year deal worth $1 million.
In 58 games this season, Cousins has scored nine goals and added 13 assists for 22 points.
Over his career, Cousins has played for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Arizona Coyotes and the Habs. He has scored 40 goals and 55 assists for 95 points in 317 games.
Cousins was originally drafted in the third round, 68th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Vegas Add Forward Depth by Acquiring Cousins
The Golden Knights solidified their goaltending depth by adding Robin Lehner earlier in the day, now they’ve solidified their forward depth. For Vegas, they add some versatility to their lineup with the addition of Cousins. Cousins is capable of playing all three forward positions. He is capable of playing on both special teams and can be moved up and down the lineup as needed. Cousins was an exceptional point producer during his junior days however, he was not able to translate this at the NHL level.
Despite this, Cousins is still a very effective player at the NHL level. He is still capable of putting up double-digit goal totals as well as between 20 to 30 points. Cousins plays an in-your-face style of play, despite not being the biggest player. He likes to get under the skin of the opposition which fans of the Golden Knights will certainly appreciate, as will his new teammates. Cousins also has decent foot speed and a decent set of hands, He’s a very underrated player and certainly solidifies the depth for the Golden Knights. He will be an important part of their push for the Stanley Cup.
