New Jersey Devils Taylor Hall A Game-Time Decision Against Vegas Golden Knights

Taylor Hall

The New Jersey Devils announced that winger Taylor Hall will be a game-time decision for tonight’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Hall spent some time doing line rushes with the team during today’s gameday skate but left the ice early.

Taylor Hall Injured

The 2018 Hart Trophy winner left practice on Thursday with an undisclosed injury. Hall wasn’t dealing with any known injuries before this.

So far this season, Hall has scored eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points to go along with 16 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 53.9 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of 6.7 percent.

Over his nine-year NHL career, Hall has played for the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils. He has 199 goals and 306 assists for 505 career points in 558 career games. He was the first overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft by the Oilers. Hall won the Hart Trophy as league MVP last season and any time that he misses leaves a huge hole in the Devils lineup.

Winger Stefan Noesen is also a game-time decision. He is dealing with a virus.

What This Means for the Future

The Devils have gotten off to a rough start as they currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Hall who was named MVP last year currently leads the Devils in points with 31. He brings speed on the top line along with his scoring ability makes him a lethal weapon for the team. Hall has been a killer on the power-play for the Devils picking up 11 points as the Devils have been successful on 18 of their 93 chances.

Marcus Johansson will hop on the top-line if Hall is out. Last year he was limited to only 29 games due to a concussion. Johansson has found himself off to a hot start picking up six goals in his first 27 games. During his time in Washington, he was finding the scoresheet picking up between 15-20 goals per season.
