What This Means for the Future

This injury is the latest in a string for Boston. Zdeno Chara, Charlie McAvoy, Kevan Miller and others are out for the Bruins.

The good news is that Boston has a few days before its next game. This could give the team a chance to heal before the Black Friday game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Cassidy is shuffling his lines, but there’s no replacing a four-time Selke Trophy winner. Bergeron is fantastic on both ends of the ice, especially face-offs. Boston hopes that the two-time Olympic gold medalist can return to the lineup so it can keep pace in a tough Atlantic Division.
