Sidney Crosby Listed As ‘Game-Time’ Decision
This is third documented concussion of Crosby’s career, stirring the pot that is the conversation on when it will be his last. Rumors circled violently after he was diagnosed with this concussion on when, or if, he would return this season. Recovery seemed to move along well, and now Crosby is back and raring to go.
The concussion he’s coming back from was one he received on October 7th, during a practice. This diagnosis forced Crosby to sit out, as is league protocol, and missed the first six games of the season. During those six games the Penguins went 3-2-1 without their captain.
The Penguins were visibly less potent in the offensive end of the ice, only scoring 12 goals during the time without Crosby. During this stretch Pittsburgh also let in a less than impressive 19 goals, tying them for the seventh worst defensive record as of now. It’s unlikely that Crosby will make a major impact in the latter, but a definite that’ll he’ll be a major impact in the upswing of the teams scoring abilities.
If Crosby makes his return tonight it will be at 7 PM Eastern Standard Time vs the Florida Panthers, who are currently 3-1-1 on the season. Crosby has faced Florida 32 times during his career and has 16 goals and 39 points in his games against the Panthers.
