The Montreal Canadiens have announced that forward Max Pacioretty (Lower-Body) and Defencemen Victor Mete are both being sent back to Montreal to be Re-evaluated.
Montreal Canadiens Victor Mete and Max Pacioretty injured on road trip
Pacioretty appeared to be in pain after a fall in the second period of Friday’s game against the New York Islanders. Mete suffered a hand injury in the same contest.
Canadiens announced today that Victor Mete (hand injury) and Max Pacioretty (lower-body injury) will return to Montreal this afternoon. They will undergo further evaluations by the Club’s medical group.

Pacioretty has recorded 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points in 64 games this year. Last season he had 35 goals and 32 assists for 67 points. Over his 10 years he has played for the Montreal Canadiens. in the NHL he has 226 goals and 222 assists for 448 points in 626 Career games. He was originally drafted in the 1st round, 22nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2007 NHL Draft.
Mete has recorded 7 assists in 49 games so far in his rookie season. He was originally drafted in the 4th round.
With the Habs out the playoff picture, the team will be very careful with two of the most impactful players. These injuries will give rookies like Nikita Sherbak and Vailev a chance to shine in the final month with Montreal. Mete was drafted in the fourth round, 91st overall in the 2011 draft by Montreal Canadiens
