NHL Stadium Series Game in Annapolis is On Schedule Despite Bad Weather and Strong Winds
Strong winds in the days leading up to Saturday had threatened to push the game back a day. Those worries have been put to rest.
On Friday, winds around the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium reached up to 80 kilometres per hour, and the National Hockey League disallowed anyone from entering the stadium out of concern for blowing debris — forcing the teams to move their practices indoors.
The two teams have met twice this year and each walked away with one win. They played in the first round in last year’s playoffs, with the Capitals taking the first round series in six games.
