Ahead of our Week 12 fantasy hockey selections, let’s take a quick look back at Week 11 and see how we did in predicting success for your team:
Fantasy Hockey: Recapping Week 11 Studs, Duds, and Sleepers
Mats Zuccarello – Stud
The point streak ended for Zuccarello in a 4-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. He would get right back in the goal column the following night. The goal came at even strength, which was the value we predicted for him. The goals will keep coming for him. Ice time was up considerably over his previous five games, so the opportunity is there.
He is also not shy about firing the puck. Five of his last six games have produced four shots on goal. Not a bad week for a player with only two games.

Brayden Point – Stud
Point’s best matchup was to be against the Buffalo Sabres. That game was postponed due to weather. We also thought he was due for a point against the Toronto Maple Leafs which did not happen. But he did score a goal and added a few key faceoff wins for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Another player with a goal in two games is not bad production. We did feel his value would be more for power-play points and missing the game against Buffalo hurt that.
Self-grade: B-
Jesper Bratt – Dud
Bratt came alive in the second game of the week against the Florida Panthers. He has struggled quite a bit away from home and we expected that to be a possibility. Instead, he scored twice, once on the power play. That ended a six-game goal drought for Bratt en route to helping end a six-game losing streak for the New Jersey Devils. He also added an assist this week. He provided much more value than we thought he would.
Self-grade: F
Dylan Larkin – Dud
The wrist seems to be just fine for Larkin, although the Detroit Red Wings coaching staff is still limiting Larkin’s faceoff attempts. After an assist against the Washington Capitals, Larking exploded against the Lightning. Two goals and an assist brought his totals to four points in two games. Still nothing on the power play for Larkin, but nobody is complaining about that in fantasy hockey leagues with the production.

Charlie Lindgren – Sleeper
The workhorse finally got a night off after surrendering three goals on 19 shots against the Red Wings. It was just enough to secure the victory though. He would respond to that game by stopping 25 of 26 in another victory for the Capitals over the Winnipeg Jets. He gave fantasy hockey owners two wins in the two projected starts we had for him. It is still a surprise he is under 50% ownership.

K’Andre Miller – Sleeper
We dug deep to find Miller as a viable fantasy hockey sleeper, and he did not disappoint. He stayed on the scoresheet, providing an assist in two games played. He took a penalty, which has been rare for him. His blocks were down, but his hitting remained. All around for two games played, he added value in quite a few categories for fantasy hockey owners. As the insurance on your roster to boost several different columns, Miller did his job effectively.
