Jack Roslovic officially has a new contract. After spending the 2023-24 season split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, he is signing with the Hurricanes. Details are expected to come later, as Darren Dreger reports he will be signing in Carolina. This is a great deal for the scoring winger.
Roslovic To Sign Contract With Hurricanes
Over the course of his eight year career, Roslovic is a consistent 20 point player. He has reached that mark every season, as he has also seen two 30 point seasons. Furthermore, he also had two 40 point seasons. He is not the flashiest player in the league, but he does have a wicked shot and can add that extra layer of scoring.
The 2023-24 season was a bit of a down year for the winger. Split between the two teams, he went on to have nine goals, which was his lowest output since the 2018-19 season. Also, Roslovic finished with 31 points and finished with a 7.7 shooting percentage, which was a career low for him.
Roslovic was a good depth addition for the Rangers and showed that during the playoffs. He finished the postseason with eight points in 16 games, which is good for 0.5 point per game.
What this Signing Means
The Roslovic contract must mean a lot to the player. For his ninth season, this will be his fourth team. After being bounced around like a basketball, he can now focus on the game and knowing he has that longer security.
As for the team, they are getting a winger that can help with production. Roslovic is a guy that can play up and down the lineup and even be able to chip in on special teams. Given the opportunity he can find success and this team is getting a player that can help them be successful as a whole.
