NHL Predictions

Vegas Golden Knights vs Dallas Stars

Series Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 2-2 Stars

TV: ESPN, BSSW, SCRIPPS, Sportsnet, SN 360

Our opening game of NHL predictions has the Vegas Golden Knights heading to Texas to play the Dallas Stars. The road team has won the first four games of the series so far. Logan Thompson is the likely starter for the Golden Knights, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Jack Eichel is pacing the Golden Knights with three goals and three assists for six points. Defenceman Brayden McNabb has two goals and two assists for four points.

Jake Oettinger is the starter for the Stars, who made a quick recovery after dropping the first two games at home in the Metroplex. Wyatt Johnston has helped carry Dallas to a pair of wins with three goals and an assist for four points. Jason Robertson also has four points via two goals and two assists. The Stars may not have played well at home, but do have a 26-11-4 record at the American Airlines Center.

Which team is going to blink first and finally win at home? We think Dallas has found the formula to beat Vegas and take the series lead.

Prediction: Stars win 4-3.

Los Angeles Kings vs Edmonton Oilers

Series Head-to-Head: Kings 1-3 Oilers

TV: ESPN, BSW, Sportsnet, Sportsnet 1, CBC

Our final and featured game of NHL predictions has the Kings trying to force a trip back to Southern California. David Rittich played well in Game 4 and might once again get the start over Cam Talbot. However, the offence dried up in that fourth game and Los Angeles lost, 1-0. Adrian Kempe leads the club in goals with three and also has an assist. Drew Doughty has scored twice this post-season for his first playoff goals in a long time. However, the Kings have to find a way to stop the Oilers top line if they want to stay alive.

Stuart Skinner recorded his first playoff shutout in the Game 4 victory for Edmonton. Connor McDavid leads the entire league with a goal and nine assists for 10 points. Zach Hyman has six goals and seven points while Leon Draisaitl has racked up three goals and five assists. The Oilers have been scoring in bunches, but proved they can win a tight defensive battle that is the prototype of playoff hockey.

The Kings might have found a way to stay in games with Rittich. However, the Oilers offence has been too good to hold down for long periods.

Prediction: Oilers win 5-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

With the limited amount of games, we’re throwing in some prop bets on the two matchups. Let’s start with our opener and the red-hot Wyatt Johnston. We like him getting the over on +0.5 goals. As for Vegas, let’s go with Mark Stone getting the over on +0.5 assists.

In the nightcap, the over/under is at six and the Oilers are almost capable of taking care of that themselves. Go with the over in the game total and take Adrian Kempe getting the over on +0.5 points.
