NHL Predictions

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers

Head-to-Head: Penguins 0-1 Flyers

TV: Sportsnet Pittsburgh; NBC Sports Philadelphia; ESPN+

Our first and featured game of NHL predictions has Penguins taking on the Flyers in the back-end of a home-and-home series. Philadelphia got the win in the shootout by a 4-3 margin on Saturday. Prolific goal-scorer Tristan Jarry is the projected starter, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy goalie. Sidney Crosby continues to defy Father Time with his 14 goals to lead the club.

Carter Hart is the confirmed starter for the Flyers, who stopped a two-game losing streak last time out. Philadelphia has been up-and-down this season, but shown some flashes of solid play at time. Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim have been bright spots for the Flyers. Both teams have struggled on the power play and have solid penalty kills.

The two teams have been inconsistent, but Pittsburgh gets a split in this Keystone State rivalry.

Prediction: Penguins win 4-2.

Dallas Stars vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Head-to-Head: Stars 1-0 Lightning

TV: Bally Sports Sun; Bally Sports Southwest; ESPN+

Our next game in NHL predictions is another back-end of a back-to-back. The Dallas Stars wiped out the Tampa Bay Lightning, 8-1, in the last outing. Joe Pavelski has 11 goals while Jason Robertson has 14 assists. Dallas was relentless and erupted for the most goals its scored in a single game this season. Jake Oettinger is the likely starter for the Stars.

Tampa Bay will look to shake off the loss and get off a three-game losing skid. Andrei Vasilevskiy was pulled the last time out, but could get another crack in goal for the Lightning. Nikita Kucherov is already at the 40-point mark with 15 goals and 25 assists, which is tops in both categories. Tampa is usually solid at bouncing back, but that’s been questionable as of late.

It’s hard to recover from a tough loss and Dallas should get the sweep.

Prediction: Stars win 4-1.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Winnipeg Jets

Head-to-Head: Hurricanes 0-0 Jets

TV: Bally Sports Bally Sports South; Sportsnet; ESPN+

Our last featured game of NHL predictions has the Carolina Hurricanes taking on the Winnipeg Jets. Antti Raanta is the expected starter for a Carolina team that has won three of its last four games. Teuvo Teravainen is first in goals with 11 while Sebastian Aho is topping the assists category with 14. Carolina is sixth in goals for coming into Monday’s games.

Connor Hellebuyck is the expected starter for the Jets, stopped a three-game losing streak last time out. Kyle Connor leads the way goals with 14 and Mark Scheifele has 17 assists. The team is 10th in goals allowed in the league.

Both teams are solid, but Carolina gets the victory in a tight one.

Prediction: Hurricanes win 3-2.
