NHL Predictions

Philadelphia Flyers vs Buffalo Sabres

Head-to-Head: Flyers 0-1 Sabres

TV: NHL Network; MSG-B; NBC Sports Philadelphia

Our first and featured game of NHL predictions has the Sabres taking on the Flyers in a Friday night matchup. Buffalo is looking for a two-game sweep after a 5-2 victory on Wednesday. Samuel Ersson is the projected starter, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy hockey starter. Travis Sanheim has a goal and nine assists for 10 points while Travis Konecny has eight goals this campaign.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is the likely starter for the Sabres, who have wins in three of their last five. Jeff Skinner has five goals so far in the campaign. Buffalo’s penalty kill is fifth-best in the league at a 90-percent success rate.

The Sabres may be finding their groove and that should give them the win.

Prediction: Sabres win 4-2.

New Jersey Devils vs St Louis Blues

Head-t0-Head: Devils 0-0 Blues

TV: Bally Sports Midwest; MSGSN

Our last game of NHL predictions has the New Jersey Devils taking on the St Louis Blues in the Midwest. New Jersey has won four of its last five, including three straight games. Akira Schmid will likely get the call with Vitek Vanecek getting the start the night before. Tyler Toffoli has seven goals while Jack Hughes continues his red-hot start to the season with 15 assists. New Jersey has the top-rated power play at 44.7 percent.

The Blues have lost two straight and will likely go with Jordan Binnington in between the pipes again. St Louis has only managed a goal in the last two games and have only netted 14 goals in the season. The Blues’ power play is only at a four-percent success.

New Jersey has a great offence and should get the win in this one.

Prediction: Devils win 6-2.
