NHL Predictions
Florida Panthers vs Carolina Hurricanes
Series: Panthers 0-0 Hurricanes
Our featured and only game of NHL predictions has old Southeast Division vibes. The Florida Panthers took down the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round. Matthew Tkachuk has been a menace down the middle and the acquisition the Panthers have dreamed of. Tkachuk leads the team in points with 16 while Carter Verhaeghe is second with 12. Sergei Bobrovsky has found his game after Alex Lyon started the first few games of the post-season. Bobrovsky is the projected starter in goal, but always check social media before making any daily fantasy picks. Florida is very opportunistic and has made teams pay for any mistakes in the defensive zone.
Frederik Andersen is the probable starter for the Hurricanes and has found his game as well. Andersen came in for Antti Raanta in the first round much like Bobrovsky did. Many doubted Carolina’s ability to score goals with the number of injuries they had. However, it’s been next man up for the Hurricanes. Players like Jordan Martinook and Seth Jarvis have helped Sebastian Aho fill the void. There may be some good news as Teuvo Teravainen might return to the lineup. The Canes have very good structure and don’t make a ton of mistakes. Carolina is one of the best teams in the league when their system is completely firing.
It’ll be interesting to see how both teams will do after the long layoff. However, the Canes defence and structure should get them the series opener.
