Welcome back to another day of NHL Predictions. Each day, Last Word on Hockey takes a look at the games that are happening and gives our predictions for each one, breaking down head-to-head and other factors that may play in. We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today’s featured game is between the Boston Bruins and the Calgary Flames. Be sure to check out our other NHL Predictions for Tuesday.
NHL Predictions: Boston Bruins vs Calgary Flames
Chicago Blackhawks vs Arizona Coyotes
Head to Head: Blackhawks 2-0 Coyotes
The final meeting for the Connor Bedard Bowl is underway. Mullet Arena is the site for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Arizona Coyotes. Chicago has taken the first two meetings between the two teams.
Things will have a different look to this one. For the first time in a long time, Chicago will take the ice without Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane on it. It is a new era of hockey in the Windy City. Arizona will get to showcase their talent as the deadline approaches.
Prediction: Coyotes defeat Blackhawks 4-2
Montreal Canadiens vs San Jose Sharks
Head to Head: Canadiens 0-1 Sharks
Our next game on our NHL Predictions is a rematch from earlier in the season. The Montreal Canadiens head to California to take on the San Jose Sharks. San Jose won the first meeting in a 4-0 shutout victory.
This will be the first game since the big trade, as San Jose sent Timo Meier to New Jersey. But Montreal will get to see what newcomer Denis Gurianov can bring to the table. It is a lost season for both squads, but still much hockey to enjoy.
Prediction: Sharks defeat Canadiens 3-1
Boston Bruins vs Calgary Flames
Head to Head: Bruins 1-0 Flames
Our featured game on the NHL Predictions is a heavyweight battle. The Bruins enter their final game on their road trip against the Flames. They have found success on this trip and take on a Calgary team clinging to a playoff spot.
Boston enters tonight in the second of a back to back situation. They are coming off playing the red hot Oilers and superstar centre Connor McDavid. Calgary is coming off two defeats to playoff contender teams. They’ve been outscored 8-4. That does not bode well for a Bruins team who ranks second in goals scored this season.
Prediction: Bruins defeat Flames 5-2.
