Ottawa Senators Defence

Alex is back with games to talk about as the Senators are finally playing again! With six games played since he last recorded, there is lots to take a look at as 2022 is now well underway. To do this, Owen Welch of Silver Seven Sens joins him! Together, the guys take a look at the Ottawa Senators Defence, depth, and decisions to make going forward.

Starting with the defence, Alex can’t get over just how good Erik Brannstrom looks. Unfortunately, he is on COVID protocol now but they discuss what his absence means and if he has a spot when he is back. From there, they also discuss the depth of the Sens and if they should add a Tyler Toffoli type player this season. Does it make sense to spend assets now or should they wait and target a list of players Owen has circled the free agency? One thing they agree on, is that depth is something that will need to be changed going forward.

Who is Alex Metzger? Alex is from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. He grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it.  Alex is a die-hard Senators fan and has been his whole life… Despite growing up in the middle of Leaf land.
