NHL Prediction Including Ottawa Senators vs Calgary Flames

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks

Head-to-Head: Stars 2 – 4 Blackhawks

The Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks face off in the first of a two-game mini-series to end their respective seasons. With a  record of 22-18-14, the Stars were just four points shy of earning a playoff spot this season. While they saw a lot of success at the beginning of the season, inconsistent play, injuries, and 14 OT losses led to their 5th place finish in the Central Divison. As for the Blackhawks, they currently sit six points behind the Stars with a record of 23-25-6. Chicago leads their season matchups 4-2. Considering how these two clubs have played against each other all year, the Blackhawks will come out on top tonight.

Prediction: Blackhawks 4-2.

Ottawa Senators vs Calgary Flames

Head-to-Head: Senators 6 – 2 Flames

The Ottawa Senators played the first half of the 2020-21 season as the worst team in the league. They began their season winning just one out of their first 10 games. The Senators had to make some big changes if they wanted to be competitive. In the second half of this season, some of those moves proved very effective. Ottawa is 8-1-1 in their last ten games. While they won’t make the postseason, rookie Tim Stutzle and the Senators are giving fans plenty of hope for the coming years.

As for the Calgary Flames, they’ve had a pretty lackluster season. While they well-rounded on paper, their offense has been a mess this year. They’re a bottom-10 shooting percentage team, and they have just 131 goals on the season, compared to the top team with 193. The Flames are filled with offensive talent, but they need to find a way to finish. But, that’s not happening this season, therefore, the Senators will pick up the two points.

Prediction: Senators win 5-1.
