Puck Talk Live Podcast: Episode 66 – NHL Rumours and Speculations
LISTEN TO PODCAST HERE!
On episode 66 of the Puck Talk Live podcast, Logan, Raffi, and Noah discuss NHL speculations and rumours after a slow news week. They kick it off with the extension of Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman, as well as the potential return date of the Chicago Blackhawks Jonathan Toews. Next, they discuss the potential addition of ads to jerseys that could be coming in the next few seasons. All three agree as long as they aren’t distracting from the jersey itself; and they make the league money, then it’s an overall positive for teams.
The main topic is a discussion of different tournaments the NHL and leagues across the world could conduct. This tweet sparked some discussion about the NHL and AHL switching their best and worst teams every year. Even though it would be highly impractical for both, having the best of the AHL compete at an NHL level would be incredible experience for the players. In addition, the boys discuss what could happen if the NHL and international leagues decided to compete. While these ideas may never come to fruition, it’s fun and interesting to theorize. Make sure to stay tuned next Friday at noon for the next installment of Puck Talk Live!
Who are Logan, Raffi, and Noah? Put simply; they are three high school friends who bonded over their strong love for hockey, and decided to share their thoughts with the world via podcast. All three are die-hard Blackhawks fans, but Logan also cheers for the Hurricanes and Raffi also roots for the Bruins. You can find Logan and Noah’s articles on https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/.
