NHL Predictions Including Toronto Maple Leafs vs Calgary Flames

Arizona Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks

Head-to-Head: Coyotes 5 – 2 Ducks

The Arizona Coyotes take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight in their final matchup of the regular season. With a 5-2 lead on the series, the Coyotes have dominated the worst team in the West Divison. With a record of 11-21-6, the Ducks have just 11 points on the season. And, while the Coyotes have been by no means the best team in the league, they’ve made a solid showing all year. They currently sit at fourth in the West, in playoff contention. With their fifth win in seven games, Arizona is making a solid push for the playoffs. The Ducks don’t stand a chance.

Prediction: Coyotes win 5-1.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Calgary Flames

Head-to-Head: Maple Leafs 4 – 2 Flames

Leading the league for much of the season, the Toronto Maple Leafs have just recently fallen down the rankings. Although the rest of the league has caught up to the North Division, the Maple Leafs have been playing fantastic hockey. With a record of 24-10-3, Toronto is seventh in the league, tied for points with the Carolina Hurricanes. Their young guns have been doing a lot of heavy lifting. Auston Matthews currently sits at first in the race for the Rocket Richard, with 24 goals. Mitch Marner is fourth in the league in points, with 33 coming from assists. The Leafs are contenders for a huge playoff run this offseason.

As for their opponents tonight, the Calgary Flames are on the opposite side of the spectrum. With a record of 16-19-3, they sit at sixth in the North and 25th in the league. Another team led by young players, Elias Lindholm, Matthew Tkachuk, and Johnny Gaudreau are first, second, and third for points on the Flames. Despite their young players picking up the slack, Calgary still hasn’t been able to get very far. They will not beat the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

Prediction: Maple Leafs win 3-0.
