Tonight’s St Louis Blues vs Los Angeles Kings game has been postponed, due to weather in Colorado. The Kings lost 4-1 to the Colorado Avalanche last night and are unable to travel back to LA for the game.

Snowstorm delays St Louis Blues vs Los Angeles Kings
The storm dumped over 27 inches of snow over the weekend leaving many without power and disrupting flights and travel. It is the 4th largest snowstorm in the history of the state of Colorado. It is unknown when normal travel will resume or when the Kings will be able to leave Denver.

Battling For The Playoffs
The Blues (14-9-5) sit fourth in the NHL West division and have lost their last four games. Sitting right behind in fifth, the Los Angeles Kings(11-10-6) are on a two-game losing streak, losing both games in snowy Denver. Halfway through the 2021 NHL season, both teams are battling for the playoffs. The Arizona Coyotes (12-12-4) are even with the Kings in points but sit in the sixth. The Blues are one point back of the Colorado Avalanche (16-8-2) in third and two points back of the Minnesota Wild (17-8-1) in second. The Vegas Golden Knights (18-6-1) sit atop the West Division
Good News for the Blues
The St. Louis Blues just signed Jordan Binnington to a contract extension on Sunday. The new contract will pay the 27-year-old backstop $36 million over the next six seasons ($6 million per season).
The Blues also welcomed back star forward Vladimir Tarasenko earlier this month. The 29-year-old returned from a shoulder injury and should boost their chances of making the post-season. He has been limited to just 14 games the last two seasons due to injury. He had scored 33 or more goals in each of the previous five seasons.
No Makeup Date Set For Postponed Game
The NHL has not announced a makeup date for the postponed games. The league has had to frantically work the schedule due to numerous COVID-19 related postponements.
