Columbus Blue Jackets

Jim opens the show welcoming everyone back to another exciting episode. He asks Coach Jay to give his thoughts on the trade that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to Winnipeg for Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic. After Coach Jay and Marc discuss the trade, the conversation leads to a discussion about the Blue Jackets and how they are playing much better now since Dubois is gone. The three men discuss John Tortorella’s style and both Roslovic and Laine will fit into it. Plus Coach Jay talks about the goaltenders in Joonas Korpisalo and Elvis Merzlikins.

Dallas Stars

Conversation then jumps to the Dallas Stars and their red hot start was a carryover from the 2020 Stanley Cup Final. Jim talks about how they are doing it without certain players in the lineup. And puts to Joe Pavelski as a true leader and his start. Marc brings up the point about Miro Heiskanen and how he had a coming-out party in the playoff bubble and should be considered for a Norris Trophy. In addition, the boys wonder if Anton Khudobin can have another run in him or at some point will they need to find another goalie since Ben Bishop is out until mid-March or early April.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Jim then moves the conversation over to the defending Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightning. He talks about the weapons still on the team even though Nikita Kucherov is not there. And they are still the champs and not the chumps as Marc likes to put it. They all agree Tampa Bay will make the playoffs and only get healthier once Kucherov gets back. Not to mention they have Andrei Vasilevskiy as their goalie. There is a reason as Coach Jay put it, he won the Vezina Trophy.

The show then heads towards the predictions segment and who the boys think will make it out of the 2020-21 Central Division. There is a surprise so you will want to listen. Plus Coach Jay ranks the goalie tandems in the division and so much more.
