On today’s episode, the boys take a look at all things happening around the league, including free agency and our NHL draft predictions. They first look at all the signings and other news that occurred in the past week. They give their thoughts on the Stanley Cup champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the playoffs as a whole. Then discussions about the trades between the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks from Monday. We discuss winners, losers, and our opinions on them. Then comes the topic of NHL draft predictions. We talk about the de-facto number one pick, Alexis Lafreniere, and what different teams are looking for in this draft. We break down each pick, 1-10, and discuss who would be a good fit for the team at each spot.
In the second part of the show, the boys finish up the second part of the free agency buzz. Multiple teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, and the Winnipeg Jets, are in difficult positions in this upcoming offseason. With minimal cap space and large contracts, these teams will likely have to tear it all down and rebuild. However, other teams are in a prime position to succeed. Clubs like the Vegas Golden Knights, New York Islanders and even the New Jersey Devils have bright futures ahead of them, with young cores and skilled players. Finally, the boys discuss where a couple of free agents could end up. Stay tuned to next week’s show to hear where big-name free agents will land!
Who are Logan, Raffi, and Noah? Put simply, they are three high school friends who bonded over their strong love for hockey and decided to share their thoughts with the world via podcast. All three are die-hard Blackhawks fans, but Logan also cheers for the Hurricanes and Raffi roots for the Bruins in addition to the Hawks.
