Alexandre Burrows has been suspended 10 games by the NHL Department of Player Safety for his actions on Taylor Hall.

Alexandre Burrows Suspended 10 Games for Kneeing Taylor Hall
Burrows decided to retaliate by attacking Taylor Hall after the whistle had blown after Craig Anderson made a save. The forward is seen pushing and jabbing Hall, he manages to grab Hall and throw him onto the ice. Burrows punches Hall while referees try to break the fight up on the ground. The final straw is when Burrows decides to bring his knee forward and tries to hit Hall in the head.
Alexandre Burrows suspended is something hockey fans have heard a lot of over the recent years. Burrows has been known as a dirty player throughout the league. Having a long history of unsportsmanlike actions even before Tuesday’s incident against the New Jersey Devils. When the video of Burrows attacking Hall first was released, many thought the forward would only face a six-game disciplinary suspension.
Ottawa Senators head coach Guy Boucher was asked about the incident in Wednesday morning’s press conference after the team’s practice. Boucher stated that he would be concerned for Burrows if it was a recurring theme, which he does not believe it is. A completely different opinion than what others may think.
What Alexandre Burrows Suspension means for the Senators
Burrows is someone the Ottawa Senators staff absolutely loves. They look at him as a guy they can count on game in and game out. They even manage to use Burrows on their powerplay units quite often through a game. Alexandre Burrows suspended means that the Senators will have to look at someone else to fill that role. Something that almost all Sens fans would tell you would be a better option than Burrows.
Considering he is a repeat offender, expect the Department of Player Safety to keep an even closer eye on Alexandre Burrows. If something like this happens again, Burrows could miss the rest of the season due to his unsportsmanlike actions.
