World Juniors: Czech Republic Selection Camp Roster Announced

The 2018 World Junior Championships are coming up very soon and teams are starting to pick their teams. The Czechs announced that they invited 15 forwards, 10 defenseman, and two goalies to the Czech Republic Selection Camp. This is not the final roster though, as it will have to be trimmed down to 22 players by the time the tournament begins. The Czechs could add a third goaltender to the squad closer to the tournament and bring 23.

Players to watch on the squad include 2018 NHL Draft eligibles Filip Zadina, Filip Kral, Martin Kaut, Jakub Lauko, and Jakub SkarekTampa Bay Lightning prospect Libor Hajek, Edmonton Oilers prospect Ostap Safin, New York Rangers prospect Filip Chytil, and Carolina Hurricanes draftee Martin Necas.

The Czechs play their first tournament game on December 26th, when they face Russia.
