Dallas Stars 25th Anniversary Plans Announced

Jere Lehtinen Jersey Retirement Ceremony

The jersey retirement ceremony for Finnish left wing Jere Lehtinen will take place prior to the Stars November 24th game against the Calgary Flames. Lehtinen’s number 26 is just the fifth number to be retired in Stars franchise history. Drafted in 1992 by the then-Minnesota North Stars, Lehtinen recorded 514 points in 875 regular-season games. Lehtinen spent his entire career with the Stars and was a three-time winner of the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league’s top defensive forward. He now serves as general manager of the Finnish national team.

Victory Green Carpet Walk

The Victory Green Carpet Walk will take place prior to the Stars season opener against the Vegas Golden Knights on October 6th. The event, which takes place in Victory Plaza, will feature current and former Stars players, coaches, alumni, and team executives. Stars fans who have been season ticket holders since the 1993-94 season will also have the opportunity to walk the Victory Green Carpet.

Reunion Nights at American Airlines Center

Throughout the 2017-18 season, the Stars will host Reunion Nights during select Saturday night games at American Airlines Center. These nights will feature pre-game ceremonies honoring Stars legends such as Brenden Morrow, Marty Turco, and Guy Carbonneau, among others. Reunion Nights will also include autograph sessions for fans and limited edition merchandise.

Retro Night

The Stars will continue to celebrate the inaugural 1993-94 season with a Retro Night game on February 3rd against the Minnesota Wild. Dallas will welcome back members of the 1993-94 club, including Dave Gagner and Neal Broten. Retro Nights will also feature special pricing on concessions and retro-themed in-game entertainment. In addition, Stars players will wear the home jersey worn by the inaugural Dallas Stars during pre-game warmups.
