GTD: USWNT Signs and the Cruising Columbus Blue Jackets

Friend of the show, and managing editor at Last Word on Hockey Nic Hendrickson joins the show this week to discuss his second place Columbus Blue Jackets. He tries to convince the guys to buy in, and they discuss the biggest news in hockey: USA Hockey and the US Women’s National Team have signed a new four year deal.

Cruising Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets have been terrific all season, and their recent stretch of games has made many fans forget their lack luster stretch of games in the new year. Underneath the wins and losses, the numbers have remained steady, and unfortunately for those in the Buckeye State, they aren’t the prettiest. Are the Blue Jackets as good as their record suggests?

USWNT Signs

There is no bigger news in the hockey world than the strike lead by the US Women’s National Team. Boycotting the World Championships was a bold move, but one that supported by women throughout the sport, and more importantly, throughout the USA Hockey organization. Finally both sides have agreed to a four year deal, the guys discuss the highlights of it, and why this is a monumental moment for our sport.
