Last Word on Sports is proud to present their hockey podcast, On the Power Play with Ben and Dave. Join Ben Kerr and Dave Gove each week as they take a look around the Hockey World focusing on the big issues of the NHL and elsewhere.

The boys are back and looking at the news from around the NHL.

OTPP: Habs Injuries, Vegas Legal Issues, Nolan Patrick Injury and More

The Montreal Canadiens have been hit hard by injuries to Alex Galchenyuk, David Desharnais, and Greg Pateryn in the past week. It hasn’t effected them yet as they have 15 goals in their last two games, but the loss of their two best centres will eventually hit. What should the Canadiens do?

The Vegas Golden Knights are facing issues with the federal trademark and patent office. How did this happen after such an exhaustive name search? What are the teams options and chances of keeping the name?

Expected to be drafted first overall, Nolan Patrick has only played six games this year.  He is now out for the World Juniors and will not return to the Brandon Wheat Kings until early January. How does this effect his draft status? Will he be challenged for first overall? Who can challenge him?

The Anaheim Ducks have been struggling lately. Under coach Randy Carlyle, their advanced stats are not good.  Is this similar to the collapse Carlyle watched over in Toronto?

John Gaudreau has returned to the Flames lineup, and the team is red hot, even before he got back. They are now back in a playoff spot. What has led to the Flames turnaround.

The boys also look at the cause of death for Marek Svatos; changes to the NHL Instant Replay system; the Peter Holland trade; and more.

All that and more in this edition of On the Power Play.
