Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of the top tight ends in the country. Under Armour All-American Kyle Pitts has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a huge signing for the Gators as Pitts is one of the best receiving tight ends in the country. The Gators are in need of help at tight end since the tight ends was practically nonexistent last season. Pitts is one of two tight ends that is signing with the Gators in the early signing period with Dante Lang.
Who is Kyle Pitts?
Kyle Pitts is a four-star TE out of Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania. The Florida TE commit is one of the elite tight ends in the country. He is an Under Armour All-American and a quarterback’s best friend. Pitts is one of the most explosive tight ends in the class due to his size and speed. He is a terrific blocker which could really help him see early playing time with the Gators. Pitts chose Florida over Alabama, Miami and Penn State.
According to 247 Sports, Pitts is the 111th ranked recruit and the fifth ranked tight end in the country. According to ESPN, Pitts is the 150th ranked recruit and the second ranked tight end in the country. The Gators have added a big time tight end who could really make an impact in the upcoming season. Being an early enrollee, Pitts could come in and push for the starting tight end job if he understand the playbook.
