Here are some NCAA basketball recruiting news/ rumors involving several 2024 and 2025 recruits. Coleman Hawkins, the top-ranked transfer still in the NCAA portal, is among the newsmakers. According to Joe Tipton on On3, he was in Manhattan, Kansas, on an official visit with the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday.
NCAA Basketball Recruiting Rumors: Coleman Hawkins, Dok Muordar, Will Riley And More
Hawkins withdrew from the 2024 NBA draft very late, as he intended to remain after spending four years at Illinois. The 6-10 forward is an impact player on both ends of the floor and produced a career season a year ago. He reportedly seeks around a $2.0 million NIL deal for his final season.
Hawkins was supposed to visit Louisville this weekend, but that fell through. So, the Sacramento (Calif.) native made the trek to K-State.
Tipton reported earlier today that Hawkins will visit LSU on June 17 and could also visit SMU at some point.
Dok Muordar Recruitment
Six-foot-11 center Dok Muordar, who played at Cleveland State this past season, is another player still in the NCAA transfer portal. Muordar is transferring for the second time in two years as he began his career at USF. He has two years of eligibility left.
According to The Transfer Portal, Muordar has heard from several schools at all levels. New Mexico State, Massachusetts-Lowell, Alcorn State, Southern Illinois, Elon, and Loyola Marymount are the DI programs that have expressed interest.
Muordar played 26 minutes in 10 games for the Vikings this past season and has appeared in 29 career games overall.
Will Riley Completes Visits
Will Riley, a top-20 recruit in 2025, had a busy week as he made three visits. The 6-8 forward, out of Kitchener (Ontario), was at Kentucky (June 4), Illinois (June 3), and Alabama (June 6), per HS Top Recruits. He is also considering Arkansas, Arizona, and the NBL (Australia).
Riley, who could reclassify to 2024, was named the Most Valuable Player of the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp in February. He is expected to announce his decision about reclassifying and choosing his school shortly.
Riley averaged 21.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 10 Nike EYBL games for UPLAY Canada.
“I don’t want to be put in positions I’m like not used to,” Riley said when asked what he was looking for in a program. “I could always adjust to that, but it would just be better to get put in the right spots, the right scenarios. Also, a coach that sees my potential and knows where I want to get to. I have goals in mind. I talk to them about my goals, and hopefully, they can help me get there.”
“I’m positionless and I can shoot, pass,” Riley added. “People underlook my passing a lot but I feel like I’ve worked on it enough to show I’m a pretty good passer. Often, high-rated prospects can only just score. But I feel like I can make my team better.”
Riley is a four-star prospect. On3 gives Riley a five-star rating, ranking him as the 10th-best prospect in 2025. Rivals have him at No. 16 in their rankings, while 247Sports lists him at No. 22, and ESPN has him at No. 24.
Jeremiah Johnson’s Recruitment
Former Oklahoma State signee Jeremiah Johnson, a consensus top 150 recruit in 2024, has been on a couple of recruiting trips this week. The 6-3 combo guard from Oklahoma City (OK), was released from his NLI on May 21. He committed to OSU in September 2023.
Johnson was in College Station (TX) visiting Texas A&M (June 3) and Green Bay (Wisc.) visiting with Phoenix’s new coach, Doug Gottlieb, on June 4th and 5th, per 24/7 High School Hoops.
Johnson is a two-way guard who’s a dynamic scorer, solid defender, and good playmaker with the ball in his hands. This past season, he averaged 18.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game with Overtime Elite Diamond Doves.

“Jeremiah Johnson has long arms with a projectable frame. The jump shot is natural and smooth. It has a repeatable, high release with great wrist action on the follow-through. He runs well and moves both vertically and laterally with athleticism. He is a solid secondary ball handler, would like to see him continue to tighten this area. Has the upside to be a good defender, able to both move his feet on the perimeter and get into the passing lanes off the ball.”

- Six-foot-10 forward Brandon Sinclair from Northwest Florida State College has drawn interest from Iona, St. Bonaventaure, and Clemson among others, per Jake Lieberman of JAL Hoops. Sinclair appeared in 23 games for NWFSC.
- Six-foot-8 forward Duncan Powell has heard from a half-dozen big-time programs since re-entering the transfer portal at the end of May. According to Andy Patton of College Sports Wire, Kansas, Texas, NC State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Florida State have reached out to Powell. Powell took an official visit to WVU on June 4.
Powell has two years of eligibility left. He averaged 12.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game at Sacramento State last year.
