Like his father, former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, Cameron is an incredibly strong rebounder on the floor. He fully utilizes his long arms to snatch boards like it’s nothing. Not The Greatest Vertical Athlete
While Boozer is undoubtedly an athletic talent overall, his verticality isn’t the best. This is most apparent in terms of his block numbers, for which he averaged 1.5 blocks for Columbus this past season. In particular, Boozer’s verticality limits his ability to be a primary shot-blocker. Sure, Boozer is a great defender regardless of this shortcoming, but it does limit what role he will play at the NBA level.
Funky Jumper
Boozer has made strides as a shooter, vastly improving his ability to score from beyond the arc. Teams certainly cannot leave Boozer open, or he will make them pay for their choices. However, Boozer’s shooting form does look funky. He doesn’t have the quickest release, and his form looks pretty rigid. He has been efficient as a shooter, but his shooting form is something to keep in mind.
