Most Accomplished Current NBA Players Without a Championship

Top NBA Players without a championship

There are still quite a few active and accomplished NBA players without a championship. There are many players in the NBA who seem to put up great numbers in the regular season but come playoff time, struggle to advance.

Top Active Players Without a Championship

5.) Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard was a beast in his prime. His best years were spent playing for the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers. In his career, Howard has averaged 17.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. He also has eight All-Star selections to go with those stats. He has, however, never won a championship. Being that Howard is a free agent currently, it remains to be seen whether he will join a team in search of a ring, or if he will join a team still on the cusp of the playoffs.

4.) Vince Carter

Vince Carter is going to come back to the league for his 22nd straight year. The 42-year-old will pass Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Garnett for years played in the NBA. In his career, Carter has averaged 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. In his best year, he poured in 27.6 points per game. He has eight All-Star selections, and two All-NBA selections. As great of a player as Carter has been, he will likely be most remembered for his dunking ability and incredible dunk contest performances.

3.) Derrick Rose

What is the first thing you think of when you hear Derrick Rose? For most, it is his tendency to get injured. For others, it was that he was the youngest MVP in NBA history. Rose has averaged 18.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. in his career. In addition to his MVP award, Rose has also been a three-time All-Star and a 2010-11 All-NBA first-team selection. It’s hard not to think “what if” Rose was never injured. The potential and explosiveness he played with would have been amazing in today’s NBA.

2.) Carmelo Anthony

People quickly forget who Carmelo Anthony was. The Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks version of Anthony was an amazing player. In his career, Anthony has averaged 24 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He has 10 All-Star Game appearances under his belt, as well as leading the NBA in scoring in 2012-13. If Anthony were to have accepted his role with either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Houston Rockets, he might have just won a championship. But now, being a Free Agent, and reportedly mulling retirement, Anthony might just be heading out the league without a ring.

1.) Chris Paul

There’s a reason Chris Paul is nicknamed Point God. That’s because of his uncanny ball movement. His passes are jaw-dropping as he always finds an open teammate. In his career. Paul has averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.7 assists. He is also a nine-time All-Star and a four time assist champ. Now playing for the Thunder, Paul has been taken out of the winning situation he was in with the Rockets and put into a rebuilding Thunder team. If he is to win a ring this year, he would likely need to find a new team via trade.
