Jerami Grant has reportedly re-signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder to a contract worth $27 million over three years. The 24-year old forward is coming off his fifth NBA season, and his second with the Thunder. Only after July 6 — the end of the NBA moratorium period — will Grant be able to officially sign with Oklahoma City.

Grant’s contract will take him through the end of the 2020-21 season, where he will have a player option for that season.
Grant has career averages of 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 21.9 minutes of action. In the 2017-18 regular season, he posted statistics of 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting a career-best 53.5 percent from the field. He also shot 68% from the foul line, a slight notch above his career average of 64%. After shooting 38% from beyond the arc in 2016, he made only 29% of his shots from deep this past season. He played in all but one game this past season with the Thunder, and came off the bench 80 times out of the 81 games he took part in.
Grant is a fairly average player on the offensive end of the court, capable of driving to the rim and making the occasional mid-range jump shot or even some shots from three-point range. He is tough and gritty on defense, making him a valuable role player for the teams that he has played on. Some of his weaknesses, aside from his inconsistent shooting from beyond the arc, include a lack of rebounding (for a forward his height and size), as well as inability to distribute the ball well.
The Thunder can still expect solid contributions from Grant, though. As seen in his five years in the league, he can be an effective player when put in the right situations. And at only 24 years old, Grant still has quite some time to grow and develop as a player, and if this does happen, then the Thunder will surely be pleased with the deal that they have given him.
