I went on one of the major sites to see their idea’s on streaming defenses. They offered up the Green Bay Packers as their number one grab…. They have scored 30+ points the last two weeks in a row. I hope I don’t have to tell you they are a good grab. There was one decent stream option: The Indianapolis Colts. The rest of their streaming options were the Bills, Eagles and Chiefs.
I want you to take a second now and go look to find those 3 defenses on your waiver wire. I challenge you to do so. If you find them due to the folly of your fellow league members, by all means snag them up and run them almost every week. Those aren’t STREAMING DEFENSES! On the same site, the defenses they said to “stream” are ranked to date as follows by the standard point system they live by:
Eagles- 1st (And they are 15 points past second)
Packers-3rd
Bills-6th
Chiefs- 14th (surprising to me)
Colts- 15th (still in the top half of fantasy defenses)
Did he really recommend you stream the best defense in fantasy football by their own standards? How absolutely flawed is that?
I am outraged and I won’t stand for it. Alright, rant over.
Decisive Fantasy Defense Decisions Week 12
Here are my top streaming defenses that will likely be available in your league right now. This week it is a big challenge. The really good defenses are matching up to a lot of the bad offenses. I will still give you some options that might be risky, but will be there to play if you need them. As always I will put them in order of how I would draft them if they were all available to me.
San Diego Chargers- These guys had a great game last week. It was against the Raiders but it did matter. The offense for San Diego is struggling and never got the game out of reach. The Chargers wouldn’t let them get anything going on offense all day. I like them against the Rams whose offense still has questions.
St. Louis Rams- These guys are playing like we thought they would at the beginning of the year. Creating pressure on every passing down and wrecking the running game in the backfield. The Chargers are looking sluggish on offense to say the least. The Chargers could let loose and kill this pick but I believe in the talent of the Rams on defense.
Atlanta Falcons- The first place NFC South Atlanta Falcons at 4-6. What. The. Heck. This division is awful and the falcons aren’t much better but with something to play for now they might find a spark at home. The Cleveland Browns bet back Josh Gordon this week making this a risky play. Yet, I question whether Hoyer can deliver a true deep ball to a guy like Gordon. A quarterback’s arm strength is pivotal to a receiver like Gordon. If Hoyer fails and this defensive pick pans out…. We could be in for a Johnny Football sighting soon.
Hope these help. Till next week.
