I am sure everyone reading this has had setbacks in life. You have been tested and challenged along the way and many of us still are. I am sure most of us will have numerous more trials and tribulations along the way down the path of life.
I think back on some of the different circumstances I had to overcome to become the man I am today. I was born deaf, well I was born with such bad ear infections the doctors thought I was deaf. No one figured out the issue until I was three years old. They put me on some antibiotics and did a little work in my ears and poof, I can hear.
The only problem was I was years behind other kids. I didn’t hear words so I didn’t know how to say them. I had a bad speech impediment that would haunt me for years.
I was little but I had a fighter’s will and the most amazing mom in the world. She was teaching me lessons without even knowing it, that would be my foundation for the rest of my life. She refused to accept there was nothing to do to help me. She tried numerous doctors and options till one worked. She also worked every day to help me catch up so I wouldn’t be behind other kids my age for long. That kind of dedication still leaves me in awe. She had 5 other kids to take care of, a house, job, husband, and so much more but it didn’t matter. She was committed to making sure I had every opportunity to make it in life.
I will forever be thankful for her commitment to me, look at all the chances I would have missed without it. I take those lessons with me throughout my journey and I can promise you I am here because of those lessons learned at a young age. It was a hell of a setback to my journey but one that molded me to be more.
Fabber’s Believe It or Not, Setbacks and Fantasy Week 7
Life is very much like fantasy football. We will have set backs along the way but that’s what makes it interesting. We will have under achievers, inconsistent plays, injuries and so much more. It is what we do with these situations that will determine what kind of season we have. I am not saying all the right moves will make you win either. Believe me, I have a losing record in one league and it’s the league I am doing the most work in. It is also the league I care about the most but it doesn’t matter. I still got up Tuesday and went through the waivers, figured out my claims, targeted the guys I would trade for and got to work.
So stop complaining and doing the poor me and get to work. Whatever happens after that at least you did your part. One team will win and one will lose no matter what, so give it what you got and be ok with the dice landing as they may. Good luck all and remember I am always available for your questions through here or on twitter.
Believe or Not is not a play this guy over this guy piece, it is a, I believe he will do good or not piece. I do not talk about studs because you should already be playing them and it makes it pointless to talk about them. So let’s get to week 7 but before we do that lets grade week 6 (not my best work).

Believes
QBs
Carson Palmer ARI, 24 Points: He has played in two games this year and both he scored over 20 fantasy points. The system is a pass heavy system and he has the weapons to get it done. Oh yea and he is playing Oakland.
Tom Brady NE, 22 Points: He is catching fire and going on a short week versus his arch nemesis, The Jets. The Jets defense hasn’t been very good all year and that shouldn’t change this Thursday night.
Cam Newton CAR, 22 Points: We finally saw the Cam we all have been waiting for this past Sunday. He ran the ball and made some nice passes along the way. He has the green light now and the Packers just let Ryan Tannehill get over 20 fantasy points.
RBs
Ben Tate CLE, 14 Points: The real question is how long you can use him till he is hurt again. Until that point play this man. He gets majority of touches on a team that is dedicated to running the ball early and often.
Lamar Miller MIA, 13 Points: Knowshon Moreno is out of the way for the year now being placed on the IR early this week. He has scored double figures each week he has been the leading back. I would buy this man!
Fred Jackson BUF, 12 Points: Going against the third worse team versus the run Jackson should have a field day. He has take the #1 rb spot back in Buffalo and he will show us why Sunday.
WRs
Michael Floyd ARI, 15 Points: Carson Palmer is back and looking good for the Cardinals. They are also playing the Raiders and Floyd looks ready for a break out type of game. This is the one.
Terrance Williams DAL, 13 Points: The Giants will go through extreme conditions to make sure Dez does not kill them. Well that will be the job of Williams this week. Tony Romo might be doing less but that will be more this week.
Mike Wallace MIA, 12 Points: The Bears give up some big plays through the air every week AND Wallace is the big play man for Miami. He is becoming more and more like we thought he would be and that is a good thing.
TEs
Antonio Gate SD, 12 Points: He is back in the spotlight and he loves it there. Still showing the NFL what being a stud tight-end looks like. He was one of the original to do it and he is still a fantasy presence, even if this is the last game I tell you to play him in all year.
Jordan Reed WSH, 11 Points: He is back and healthy. We all know Cousins loves his tight-ends and check downs. Reed is perfect for that.
Kickers
Justin Tucker BAL, 12 Points: The ravens can put up points but it might not be touchdowns this week. Get ready for some field goals!!!
Chandler Catanzaro ARI, 12 Points: Have you heard yet? They are playing Oakland!!!
Defenses
Browns 15 Points
Cardinals 14 Points
NOTS
QBs
Eli Manning NYG, 17 Points: Dallas defense is no joke. The Giants will be without their number one running back and number one wide receiver. I do not want any part of this game unless they have a star on their helmet.
Ben Roethlisberger PIT, 16 Points: This will be old school Steelers football. That means run, run and more run. That doesn’t do well for quarterback’s fantasy points.
RBs
Ronnie Hillman DEN, 8 Points: The 49ers have been pretty good against the run and Hillmans shine will start to rub off this week.
Zac Stacy STL, 6 Points: I remember when people thought he was worth an early draft pick. He is losing his job. It’s time to jump ship. Ok maybe not that bad but close right?!?!
WRs
Cecil Shorts JAC, 9 Points: He is back but this is not his game. All the signs point to loving him but I just cannot do it this week. Cleveland looks like they are ready to roll some.
Keenan Allen SD, 7 Points: He is becoming a staple to the list of disappointments. Kansas City will limit him even more than normal.
TEs
Travis Kelce KC, 8 Points: The time was fun when it lasted but the number of snaps will keep him from being a TE1 this week until they change it play with caution.
Larry Donnell NYG, 7 Points: Cruz isn’t coming back this year and everyone in the NFL knows Donnell is the red zone target of choice for Eli. They will take him away.
Kickers
Greg Zuerlein STL, 5 Points
Blair Walsh MIN, 4 Points
Defense
Colts 8 Points
Ravens 8 Points
