LeBron vs Durant: Part II

Ahh… another time to thank the basketball Gods. Tonight, we get another LeBron James vs Kevin Durant head to head matchup. Also, Russell Westbrook will be returning tonight for his first game since Christmas. This is a potential NBA Finals preview. And with the MVP race being the closest it’s been in a long time, how can you miss this game tonight?

LeBron vs Durant: Part II

When Miami and Oklahoma City played a few weeks ago, OKC easily took the win. Miami actually had OKC right where they wanted them in that game, but there’s that one guy, Kevin Durant. Even though OKC blew out Miami, we were able to see James and Durant go back and forth for two minutes straight. And if you weren’t glued to your TV during those two minutes, boy did you miss out.

When you watch the two greatest players in the game go at it, it really is amazing to see. Tonight, we will see even more. James and Durant both want the MVP award. LeBron wants to show Durant that this is still his league. KD wants to show LBJ that it’s his time to dethrone The King. Many people have KD taking the MVP award already, but you’ve got to be out of your mind if you’re already counting LeBron out.

The comments about KD are fueling LeBron right now, and he’s been on an absolute tear. He’s had three straight games with 35+ points, and that streak will be at four by the end of the night. After seeing King James drop 42 against Dallas in the first game after the All-Star break, he is ready for the second half of the season. James didn’t really seem too focused earlier in the season, but he is locked in now. He wants the MVP and another championship, and he won’t let anyone get in this way.

I can’t see OKC beating Miami again tonight. It’s going to be a better game than the first time they played, but I think Miami pulls out the win tonight. This time, we will see KD and LeBron go back and forth for a lot longer than two minutes. Both players will easily score 30+ points. Stay glued to your TV’s, folks. We’re going to see a great one.

And if you got nothing to do after this game, stay on TNT. Houston and Golden State are playing. Another gift from the basketball gods.
